Today is World Mental Health Day. And I think it’s an important reminder for us, because infertility and loss don’t just take a toll on our bodies—they take a toll on our minds and hearts too.

We don’t talk about it enough, but this journey can leave scars no one else can see. The constant anxiety of waiting for results. The sleepless nights wondering if your body is broken. The depression that quietly creeps in after yet another failed cycle. The trauma of losses that never fully leave you. It’s real. And it’s heavy.

Friend, your mental health matters here too. You’re not “too weak” if you feel like you can’t keep it together. You’re not “less faithful” if you wrestle with depression or panic. You’re not “broken” for needing counseling, medication, or community support. You’re human. You’re grieving. And you’re carrying something most people will never understand.

On a day like today, I just want to whisper this to you: Please don’t neglect your mind while fighting for your miracle. You can pray AND go to therapy. You can trust God AND take medicine. You can believe in His promises AND acknowledge that your heart is weary and your mind feels fragile.

God cares about every part of you—including your mental health. He is close to the brokenhearted, not just the physically broken. And He has given us resources, people, and tools to help carry the weight we can’t carry alone.

So, if today finds you in the middle of the fog—struggling to smile, fighting off the lies in your mind, or just exhausted by the mental load infertility carries—know this: you are not alone. Your mental health matters. Your pain is real. And there is help, hope, and healing for you too.

Take care of your heart. Take care of your mind. The same God who knit you together cares about keeping you whole.

The pages of your story still hold hope, healing, and restoration—even if you can’t see them right now.

Even in the darkest seasons, there is hope, and there are people ready to walk beside you. Reaching out for support takes courage—and it can be the first step toward healing.

Therapy can provide a safe space to share your burdens, find new strength, and rediscover the light God has placed within you. If you or someone you know has been struggling with thoughts of su***de, please know there is help available.

If you are in immediate crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

In honor of Su***de Awareness Month, I am opening a limited number of pro bono counseling spots to help remove financial barriers for those who need support.

Your life has purpose. Your story isn’t finished. A new page is waiting. Let's turn the page together—reach out today!

Do you ever feel like your brain has too many tabs open and none of them are loading? When life feels like a mental mess, it can be hard to focus, stay motivated, or even manage daily tasks. The good news is therapy can help you organize the chaos, untangle overwhelming thoughts, and find the clarity you need to move forward with confidence.

On the lake that day, the storm and the calm existed side by side—two very different realities in the same moment. Life often feels the same way. Challenges, worries, and heavy days can sit right beside moments of peace, hope, and light.

What we focus on doesn’t erase the storm, but it can remind us that the storm is not the whole story. 🌱

Sometimes shifting our perspective—toward what brings calm, connection, or gratitude—can help us find balance when life feels overwhelming. And on the days when the storm is all we see, it’s okay to lean on others until the skies begin to clear. 💙

✨ Back-to-School Isn’t Just About Supplies ✨

You’ve bought the notebooks, packed the lunch, and given the pep talks. But for many teens, this time of year also brings big emotions—social pressures, academic stress, and the quiet worries they may not say out loud.

If your teen (14+) is feeling anxious, withdrawn, unmotivated, or just “off,” they don’t have to go through it alone—and neither do you.

I offer virtual counseling to individuals (14+) who are located in Texas, giving them a safe, supportive space to talk openly, build confidence, and learn practical coping skills.

Because a healthy mind is the most important school supply they can have. 💛

Message me to see how I can support your teen this school year.

✨ Officially EMDR Trained ✨

I'm proud to share that I’ve completed my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy—a powerful, evidence-based approach to healing trauma.

As a counselor dedicated to supporting first responders, veterans, and individuals navigating trauma and grief, this training deepens the tools I can offer to help clients process painful experiences and move toward healing.

To those who carry heavy stories: there is hope. There is healing.

🌷 Happy Mother’s Day from WHO K.NEW🌷

Today, we honor all mothers—and we also hold space for those for whom this day is tender.

We honor the strength, love, and resilience of mothers everywhere. To the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, mother figures, and anyone navigating the journey to motherhood: your love shapes lives in countless ways.

To those who are grieving, navigating infertility, have experienced loss, or carry silent heartaches: we see you. Today may bring a mix of joy and pain, and both are valid.

At WHO K.NEW, we recognize that motherhood—and the longing for it—can be beautiful, messy, complicated, and deeply emotional. Wherever you find yourself today, we’re here to support your mental and emotional well-being.

💛 You are not alone.
💛 You are worthy of compassion.
💛 You are held in our thoughts.

Wishing peace, love, and gentleness to all today.
Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Some experiences in your life are beyond your control, and others are to blame. However, you are responsible for taking the steps necessary to heal from the hurt others have caused you. If you choose not to heal, then you are responsible for your actions moving forward. How you react to someone else's words or actions is up to you. You could react out of anger and hurt or choose not to engage and let it go.
