Can we please stop calling it “postpartum depression” or “postpartum anxiety”…
and call it what it so often is: a complete lack of support. 🤱💔

Because when a new mom is:
😴 not sleeping
🍼 feeding around the clock
🍽️ forgetting to eat
🧺 doing it all alone
😶 isolated + overwhelmed
🧠 carrying the entire mental load…
her nervous system isn’t “broken.” It’s screaming for help. 🫶✨

Moms don’t just need a diagnosis.
They need a village. Practical support.
Warmth. Meals. Rest. Someone to hold the baby so she can breathe. 🤍

If you’re postpartum (or remember this season), what support would’ve changed everything for you? 👇

Some things look “fine” from the outside… until you live inside them. 🕯️

Single motherhood isn’t a vibe. It’s often a line a woman crosses when she finally realizes: my kids deserve to see me whole. 🔥👣

I’m writing a book about what people don’t see—

the slow unraveling, the wake-up moments, the leaving, the rebuilding… and the holy strength it takes to choose peace. 📖✨

If you want updates + the first chapters when they drop, comment “STORY” and I’ll send you the info. 💌

✅Rosenhan proved it:
Get labeled → lose credibility. 🏷️😵‍💫
That’s the scam. 📣
What diagnosis followed you the longest? 👇

🗣️People love to say “he’s a great dad” while watching him terrorize the mother.

But when mom is the default parent, mom is the home—and kids don’t just witness her stress… they live inside it. 🧠⚡️

When a man destabilizes the mother (chaos, intimidation, threats, humiliation, financial control, stonewalling, constant criticism), it doesn’t stay “between adults.”
It becomes the atmosphere. The bedtime routine. The mornings. The health. The mood. The safety. 🏠💔

I know this because I lived it.
And it nearly killed me.

📖 I’m telling the whole story in my upcoming book Unprescribed.

Some seasons aren’t “messy.” They’re survival mode.
And when you’re in it, you don’t get a perfect script… you get a lifeboat. 🛟

Question: What’s something you did in survival mode that you refuse to apologize for? 👇💬

(And yes — I’m writing my whole story in Unprescribed.) 📖⚡️

Recovery isn’t always linear, but it’s real — and you’re not broken 🌿🫶

🧠💔➡️🕊️ I didn’t know it was abuse—until my body forced me to connect the dots.

This is a chapter from my book Unprescribed — the moment my “mystery symptoms” finally made sense.

Why “Free Range” Psychiatry?

We are proud to call ourselves “Free Range,” as we “roam freely” and provide care via video sessions (telepsychiatry) as well as traveling to our clients for house calls.

In addition, because we are a private practice not participating with health insurance plans, we are not restricted to the typical confinements that currently plague the healthcare system, such as:

- over scheduling patient appointments leading to overworked, stressed out and unhappy doctors

- health insurance companies dictating patient care
