We have been lead to believe RESULTS with fitness and health is super easy with no effort at all.
Doesn't it seem everywhere we look, we see pictures of women that look great in bathing suits, clothes & outfits with these perfect bodies.....or we hear about the obesity epidemic?

Where are the women that are doing "all the things" and not seeing a change?
Wouldn't it be so simple if we could "just take this one pill" and you can have the body you've always wanted or do 2 days of crunches & have abs of steel? 😄
We can’t escape all "shortcuts", quick fixes and gimmicks that are everywhere. 😒

Health is a journey...
Even though we feel like we woke up one day and didn't fit into our clothes anymore, that's so not the case. We had some bad habits that comforted us at the time, and it BAM, it showed up on the "outside" but really what happened, it happened from the inside with our nutrition & lack of movement.

Is this the face of a happy camper?

YES. IT. IS. 😃

I just taught my 3rd Wednesday night class and WOW.
I wonder if Wednesday is the magic day for me, since my Wednesday morning class is the 💣 too!

Wow, the stuff we make up in our head can scare us out of our place we are suppose to be….

I almost said no, when my friend asked me to take this class over, I thought, oh god, what if they don’t like me!?
It was someone else’s class and now I have to step into someone else’s shoes!?!
It’s scary when you step outside your comfort zone…but I tell all my clients,our sons and our nieces, AMAZING THINGS ARE OUTIDE THAT COMFORT ZONE AND FEAR!
Just say, YES!
The hard part is the start and then it becomes the comfort zone!!

Tonight, at my 3rd class, the attendance was almost TRIPLE of what it was the 1st night and I could just cry happy tears.

God, It truly feels great to help others.

They show up in class, super happy to learn and be better, with focused goals in mind of getting stronger.
One lady came in my class tonight by accident because she missed her trainer appointment, so she asked if she could stay!

Of course, I said!
She said I can’t lift heavy because I have back and neck problems, and I said, “it’s okay, I give modifications and you lift what you can, but try to challenge yourself a little. “
She said I like 3lbs, and I said okay, do 3 lbs!

I watched her through class and I totally knew she could do more….😃
She approached me at the end of class and said I loved your class and I think I could go up in weights to maybe 5s!!!
I said, I watched you, and yes you can!
(She stayed in her comfort zone, and knew if she stepped outside, it would be better!! )

She said thank you I will see you next week if that’s ok?
Of course it is.

My title as a group fitness instructor is just as important as my at home nutrition, mindset & fitness clients. ❤️
My only goal with all, is to meet them where they are at (not where I am at!) and help from there!

At home nutrition & fitness coaching is different then my gym training, but at the very bottom of it…. It’s totally the same.
I get to help women lead healthy and fulfilling lives while become the best version of themselves!!!!

I help, guide and serve. ❤️

There is nothing better to me then to make a difference.
I get to do that while sharing my knowledge and tips either at the gym or with at home clients…but my heart is full.
( And making some amazing friends along the way too is perfect too!)

Yayyyyyyyy!!! June has arrived!!!

It's MY month and it's your month too!!! (Because I share! (wink, wink!))

This is the month that is filled with happiness, peaceful days & evenings, BBQs, family, friends, outdoor everythinggggg, sunshine and such pretty colorssss!

Enjoy it alllllllll, however, don’t forget to set some goals for yourself!!

Jot down 2-3 small attainable goals and post it where you will remind yourself to make a move towards something you want to attain!

Place it on the mirror, on the refrigerator, take a photo and make it your screen saver, or make a post it note for your car and put it on the radio!!!

I find smaller goals are easier to achieve then “I’m going to lose 20lbs this month “!!
How about we start with 1-2 pounds a week instead or drinking MORE water?!?

I’m a “clean eater”.
I eat what comes from the earth and with very very little ingredients…in other words, nothing in packages or boxed food. ( except for pasta !!)

It doesn’t serve everybody, but it serves me because I found my “healthy spot” and I healed my gut and found my energy!!!

June is my month for big changes and I started.

Why wait, right?
What are we waiting for really, because “tomorrow” always comes and goes, just like that “Monday”. ( I actually started on Tuesday! 🤣)

Please don’t wait to do this, or to start taking action on your health.

We can see what is happening in the outside, but have no idea what is brewing on the inside.

I’m encouraging you to LOOK AHEAD and see all the possibilities, without any excuses. 😃😃

Here’s a tip and try to remember this too…. Vague goals lead to vague results. Make your goals SPECIFIC, otherwise we chase nothingggggg!

To be happier today, move your body, make better choices, and drink your water! 💦 😘

1st DAY for the teacher!

I am teaching another class at Retro Fitness Toms River and tonight was my FIRST.
I had allllll kinds of jitters and nervous energy but why!?!
I know what I’m doing, LOVE WEIGHT TRAINING, and PEOPLE 😜🤩😃, so why?

It’s fear of the unknown and also we start to make up things in our head too and for me, I’m outside my confirm zone with a different clientele!

I’m all about clean and good nutrition and that includes dessert!!
Our sons are super excited to make protein ice cream, but I was to use it with my superfood Shakeology shake to make ice cream for when I get the “snack attacks” at night!! 👀😜😂

3,732,165 Steps this month!

Our STEP It Up Challenge is complete and these ladies went above an beyond to get off the couch, stop scrolling, and move more for April!

Can I brag & say I'm super proud too, because I truly am proud of these ladies for showing up daily, moving more, then showing up in the group to share and support the others! Their posts helped to push one another, and even helped motivate the unmotivated like me!
The motivation and supportive community helped all of us show up, and be a better version of ourselves on the daily!

That is what accountability will do!

We are NOT slacking because the month is over.....we just unleashed our potential, so look out, World, we are coming!

Will you help me in celebrating these amazing women too!?!

There is NO magic pill or silver bullet although what we see on social media has everyone thinking everythingggggg is super easy, fast and quick, right?!
There IS sweat.

No one needs to know it's healthy for them! (Tell them afterward! (WINK WINK!) )

Hibachi Fried Rice ( Gluten Free too!! )
(Super easy and flavorful! You could even throw it together and top with your favorite protein like shrimp or chicken!)

INGREDIENTS ( Servings : 6)
2 ½ cups brown rice cooked and cooled (best if it's leftovers!)
2 eggs
2 tsp avocado oil or sub additional butter
3 ½ tsp butter, vegan butter, or ghee divided
2 carrots chopped small
½ onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 Tbsp fresh ginger minced (dried can be used)
½ cup frozen peas
4 Tbsp coconut aminos (soy sauce if not gluten free)
½ tsp sesame oil
salt
green onions finely sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat ½ tsp of butter in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add eggs to the pan and scramble, stirring occasionally until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add another 1 tsp of butter to the pan and heat until melted. Add in carrots and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add in 1-2 Tablespoons of water, if needed, to help veggies cook. Add in garlic and ginger and cook for an additional minute. Stir in frozen peas.
Add 2 tsp of butter and 2 tsp avocado oil to the pan, increase heat to high, then immediately add in the rice. Season with ¼ tsp of salt. Saute 3-5 minutes to fry the rice. (I like to give the rice time to crisp up at the bottom of the pan, so I don’t stir too much.) Stir in to combine. Add eggs & continue to stir until eggs are warmed and well incorporated. Remove from heat. Drizzle with ½ tsp of sesame oil and garnish with green onions. Taste and add additional salt, if needed.

21 Day Fix containers: 1 YELLOW, ½ GREEN, 1 tsp (per serving)

(If you add extra veggies, saute them separately so that you don’t crowd the pan and you can get a good crisp on your rice.)

What a fabulous time! Wrapping up an amazing week of celebrating success with BODi !

I was gifted this trip filled with sun, fun and good food (a little bit of corporate announcements too!) and we are wrapping up this trip with amazing memories and new friends on top of the old friends!

It's soup time in Jersey! How about this Instant Pot Low Carb Stuffed Pepper Soup!!

This Instant Pot Low Carb Stuffed Pepper Soup is made with Cauliflower Rice instead of brown rice, but you honestly would never know - the texture and flavor are spot on. So delicious!

Servings : 4 servings ( double if you'd like! I always do! )

Olive oil cooking spray
1 lb spicy Italian or sub sweet
1 onion diced
2 bell peppers diced
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups cauliflower rice
14 oz fire roasted diced tomatoes 1 can
14 oz tomato sauce 1 can
3 cups low sodium organic chicken broth or stock
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
2/3 cup shredded cheese for topping optional

INSTRUCTIONS
Instant Pot:
Spray your Instant Pot with olive oil spray and set to saute. Remove sausage from casing; when the pot is hot, brown sausage until just about cooked through.
Add in onions and bell peppers and cook until fragrant. Add in garlic and cauliflower rice and cook for an additional minute.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, basil, and oregano. Stir and place lid on the IP. Lock and set to manual/pressure cook for 7 minutes. Do a quick or natural release - both will work fine.
Once it’s safe to open the IP, give the soup a stir and add salt and pepper, if desired. Enjoy with cheese or without!


Stovetop:
Spray a large pot with olive oil spray. Remove sausage from casing and brown sausage on medium heat until just about cooked through.
Add in onions and bell peppers and cook until fragrant. Add in garlic and cauliflower rice and cook for an additional minute.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, basil, and oregano. Allow soup to come to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for ten minutes.
Give the soup a stir and add salt and pepper, if desired. Enjoy with cheese or without!
