Self-limiting beliefs are perceptions that we have about ourselves and about the way the world works. These assumptions are “self-limiting” because in some way they're holding us back. Limiting beliefs get in the way of what you think is possible for yourself and keep you from living your happiest, most fulfilling life. These beliefs could be anything from “I am not good enough” to “I can never be successful” to “Everyone will judge me”.
These beliefs originate from our lived experiences but they could also come from relationships with friends or significant others, experiences at work, or random interactions. Unfortunately, they may stay ingrained if we do not process our experiences in a healthy manner.
