I went and saw “Babygirl” today in the theatre with a friend. If you’re into B**M, Daddy/Little or D/s play, you just might like this fairly pg-13 introductory version…😜😂🤭

(And if you’re curious…this is a good flick to watch)

But what drew me in was the “typical” dynamic being flipped on its head. And no, we’re not talking about the woman being the dom either, to me that’s also pretty typical.

In 50 shades of Grey we watched the young, male successful CEO and his submissive underling engage in power dynamics. He is drawn in like a hungry lion to his weak, fragile prey. 🥱

While I wouldn’t cast Nicole Kidman as the lead role and I would emphasize specific themes a bit more (which I’ll touch on later) I LOVE the flip here.

In this movie, we watch a female CEO meet a younger male intern who proceeds to defy “business etiquette” and “take” what he wants. (And she does too) This was a great example of energetic dynamics where even though the female is in a position of power, she still craves to be taken, which she never had to speak a word, he could feel it.

And it’s fu***ng hot. 🥵 Personally, it’s relatable. In a day and age when we have an abundance of split homes, women who work all day in powerful leadership roles who still mother and wife and do all the things…

Jupiter is in Gemini, Mars just went into retrograde and Neptune went direct last night. This unique astrological combo is ushering in an interesting opportunity that I’m seeing unfold today in the collective.

Jupiter (planet of expansion, good fortune, abundance, and jovial vibes) is in the chatty, ever curious, playful and intelligent Gemini. (And has been since June)

Mars just went into retrograde on the 6th of December. This means we will feel less energetic, more introspective, the invitation to reflect on where we put our energy will be the focus. How we use our energy will also be key here. Is all our energy and motivation going to serve others agendas or our own? Is our life all work and no play? Or in some sort of inbalance? These themes will be in question.

Neptune just went direct last night after 6 months of being in retrograde where we got to sit with creativity blocks, lessons in unconditional love, harsh reality checks and karmic level deception. (Continued in comments)

The journey to healing is not linear. I’m sure you’ve all probably seen the meme out there where they show the a squiggly line as a representation of healing. And while at times, it can feel that way, however, I truly see our healing as spiral. The reason is: it’s definitely not linear, but part of it is pre-determined, the other part is cyclical and the other part is found within Kairos. (Otherwise known as divine time or God’s time)

I’ve been exploring the Kairos theme lately, when looking at recent events unfolding from past vision/prophecy (yes, I receive premonitions and visions years and in this case a decade before it happens.) I also have a weird connection with death and time “stops” when people I know pass away. This is a much deeper story than I will share here now, but if you’re curious, feel free to ask.

While I know much of what I experience is pre-determined via my cellular memory, my unconscious, ancestral trauma perhaps and even the laws of physics, we can understand that much of what we do is simply a pattern. Time teaches us that those patterns exist in cycles. Kairos invites us into the Mystery that we cannot fully explain. And I do think that is the point, because what fun would life be if we knew everything, understood it all and left no room for nuance beyond our intellectual knowing?

What I’m also talking about here is Gnosis. It’s wisdom that comes from the Great Mystery, one that we cannot tangibly touch, but rather come to know via our direct experiences. Much like my relationship with Death, with the Other side, and with knowing things before they happen.

Because to me, I find the “knowing” in this case, unhelpful. Mostly because I cannot stop the process or the outcome and I often wonder, “why do I need to know this?”

But it’s a direct part of the healing, baby, deep within the Spiral. When I am in the trenches of my suffering, or when I’m in the ecstatic moments that I never want to end. Kairos will find me even when I am not looking for it. Especially then. (Continued in comments)

The Grace of God: Grief

There’s a familiar sadness that lingers in the air on a grey cloudy day. Perhaps it’s mirroring the same tiresome depression.

The dreary and desolate streets that wind within your mind. Barren and empty. Where happiness used to play. Bright colors and sunshine. Smiles for days. Her Laughter echos in my ears, slowly fading away.

But today, it’s grey. Decay litters the ground. The death of summer begs for your gentle surrender to the dark nights and long winter that’s already knocking on your door.

Surrender, my love. Let go of what was, to be with completely, right now.
Desire and heartbreak swirl in the depths of my heart. Sadness and longing, a shattering.

Alone-ness that allows for a deepening into: a tidal wave of tears, an endless ache. For the love that was once shared. A reaching out for, but never being met, because a death exists here now. An expectation, a regret, a loss. Devastation.

Catastrophic or not, it doesn’t matter because it hurts here. As she slowly points to her heart.
She is 5. She is 12. She is 15. 22. 36. 42. 55. 63. 71. 84…And in death, she passes the fire. 🔥

Grief may know the beginning, but it has no end. We humans seek transcendence from the pain we feel. In doing so we seek to know God. (Continued in the comments)

There are seasons or passages, that include a death as described below. When a part within dies, we tend to linger in the liminal space, the bardo.

The bardo is the space in-between death and rebirth. It is the unknown, the darkness that offers the possibility of transformation.

The Tibetans believed we have 6 bardo experiences: 3 in life and 3 after death.

Perhaps these are larger cycles they are speaking to, I’m not sure.

What I see, are multiple cycles occurring simultaneously. The 100 year cycle (a sacrum) The annual cycle. The monthly cycle. The daily cycle and so on.

Even if we look at our bodies: every cell is replaced in our bodies every 7-10 years. Skin cells regenerate every 2 weeks.

The point I’m hinting at is life is always offering the invitation to transform, to be born anew, to start fresh. Change is constant. We are always in motion even if we feel stagnant. (Continued in comments)

The Boogie Man and the Monsters Under Your Bed

Children often fear monsters under their bed for a variety of reasons, mostly because of the developmental stage they are in where they struggle to distinguish fantasy from reality and of course, a natural fear of the dark which links directly to fears of the unknown. Depending on the age there can be anxiety and worry around separation from their parents too. But no matter the age, “monsters” are a symbol for worries and insecurities, maybe even a fictional character in their mind for a real life person who’s caused harm.

As we age and become adults, the monsters under our bed change into varying forms of monsters, boogiemen, demons, parasites, narcissists, murderers, parents and political figures…truly anyone or anything that invokes fear, insecurity or a need to feel some semblance of control or safety.

These projections are inner child stories that we have not yet met, faced or sat with as a loving witness.

These same projections are the origin of conspiracy theories. Conspiracy is created to provide some sense of safety in a scary world full of question marks and unknown answers.

Who the secret group acting in concert to harm others changes according to the time and place. Jews, immigrants, political parties, and the government have all been prime targets in the past and the trend continues today.
