Subject: Help Us Make 2025 a Healthier, Stronger Year for East Texas
As Thanksgiving approaches, we at the eXpand Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, are excited to announce the launch of our fundraising campaign for 2025. This year, we have ambitious plans to continue our vital work in East Texas, and we need your support to make these initiatives a reality.
Over the past year, the eXpand Initiative has made a measurable impact in our community through the following programs:
• Mentorship for Health Sciences Students: Providing guidance to students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in East Texas, helping them pursue careers in health sciences.
• Back-to-School Support: Contributing over $10,000 in supplies and monetary donations to local back-to-school programs benefiting children in East Texas.
• Health and Wellness Outreach: Delivering health and wellness products, as well as toys, to homeless populations across East Texas.
• Partnership with Cherokee County Immunization Coalition: Funding free TDAP booster shots for pregnant women in need of immunization but unable to afford the cost.
In 2025, we plan to continue these efforts and expand our reach to address additional pressing needs in our community, including:
• Youth Sports Scholarships: Promoting healthy lifestyles by providing scholarships for local youth to participate in sports programs.
• Community Property Care: Supporting residents who are unable to maintain their properties, helping reduce potential health hazards and breeding grounds for harmful insects.
• Animal Rescue Support: Assisting local animal rescue organizations in addressing the growing issue of abandoned animals in East Texas.
• Veteran Assistance: Collecting and distributing essential items to veterans housed in local homes, ensuring they have the basic necessities they need.
To fund these programs, we have identified two critical areas of need: our Priority List and Expanded List. The breakdown of costs is as follows:
Priority List
• Operational Costs:
o PO Box Fees: $120
o Legal Filings: $100
o Technology Updates & Subscriptions (Bookkeeping/Accounting): $1,500
o Office Supplies (Envelopes, Stamps, etc.): $500
• Program Costs:
o DBA Filings: $100
o Program Promotional Items: $500
o Volunteer Participant Items: $1,500
• Marketing Costs:
o Marketing Brochures/Program-Specific Postage/General Supplies: $1,500
Expanded List
• Program Costs:
o Tablets/Laptops for Programs: $5,000
o Branded Event Infrastructure: $2,500
• Marketing Costs:
o Electronic Media Development/Maintenance: $2,000
