Rita has been a cherished part of our Bellbrook community since 2018, and we’re so grateful to have her with us. She is a proud mother of four and an adoring grandmother to eleven grandchildren—family time is something she truly treasures.
Born in New Mexico, Rita’s life journey has taken her through Texas and Indiana, and eventually to Michigan. Over the course of her marriage, Rita and her husband, Bill, moved an incredible 13 times! Of all the places she’s lived, Clawson, Michigan holds a special place in her heart, as it’s where she raised her family.
Right after high school, Rita stepped into nursing school and dedicated her life to helping others. One of her most meaningful roles was right here at Bellbrook, where she worked as a nurse. Rita often says it was the best nursing experience of her entire career—she felt confident, supported, and truly at home.
Today, Rita continues her lifelong calling by volunteering her time here at Bellbrook, offering support, kindness, and companionship to fellow residents. Her generosity, compassion, and heart for others perfectly reflect our mission and core values.
