One month ago, our family grew, and my heart expanded in ways I never imagined. As I embrace this season of maternity leave, I’m reminded of the delicate balance between being a mom and leading a company. It’s not always easy—it comes with tough decisions and quick pivots—but my why has always been clear: family and the mission of Broad Horizons.

To our patients and families, know that patient-centered care remains at the heart of everything we do. My incredible team is carrying the torch while I take this time to be present with my family, ensuring I return refreshed and ready for all that’s ahead.

Thank you for your support as we approach year six of Broad Horizons. This journey is so much bigger than me, and I’m beyond grateful for all of you who continue to walk it with us.

We’re excited to welcome Taylor Guerrero to Broad Horizons Speech Therapy! Taylor is a second-year graduate student clinician from the University of St. Augustine, originally from Guam. 🌺 She has a passion for working with children and is eager to gain hands-on experience in speech therapy.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Henry, Taylor will be learning and growing in her clinical skills while helping our little learners find their voices. 🗣️✨

About Us

Broad Horizons is a leading provider of speech and language therapy services in Jacksonville, Florida to families and school communities. We provide the highest quality of services by licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists. Our ability to provide therapy services in the natural environment (i.e. home, school, or daycare) allows us to create individualized experiences specific to meet the needs of the child’s communication environments. Here at Broad Horizons we believe strongly in a family-centered approach.

That is why we provide direct feedback, encouragement, and strategies to caregivers in every session. In addition, we partner with local schools to provide speech and language therapy support for students to reach their ultimate potential in their academic settings. We are dedicated to serving children and families from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds throughout the city of Jacksonville.

Calonda Henry M.S. CCC-SLP, the director and lead Speech-Language Pathologist, is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association board certified therapist with over 8 years of clinical expertise. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida followed by a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Calonda has spent the vast majority of her career working in the public school system and private practice setting. She is dedicated to making sure that each child reaches their full potential of success.
