Baptist Hospice Huntingdon wants to congratulate Ashley, RN. Ashley was recently recognized by LHC as a Hospice Hero for going above and beyond during a very difficult situation. Ashley was also awarded the Q2 North Region Serving our Purpose Award.

Meet Whitney!

Whitney comes to Baptist Hospice with years of nurse aide experience in long term and acute care. Whitney shared her hospice story with us when we asked why she chooses to work end of life care.

“I want to work hospice because of my Grandaddy and because I was so impressed with the hospice team that took care of him. The love and support he received from hospice was absolutely amazing and allowed my Grandaddy to have control over how he wanted to live his last days. I was completely blown away by his nurse and watching my Grandaddy light up the way he did when she would come visit is something I’ll never forget. The support that was shown for him and my family made us feel so warm. I love knowing that with this job, I can help provide that warm comfort to the patients and family’s that I have the privilege of taking care of. To be that smile on a loved one’s face knowing that we are someone they can count on during this difficult time in their life.”
