Master Sgt. Jodi Pyle-VanderSys is angry. And she's using that anger to fuel her competition in the 2025 Warrior Games, which take place July 18-26 at Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The games bring together nearly 200 military service members to compete in adaptive sports as part of their recovery journeys.

INTERESTED IN A CAREER AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT?
The American Red Cross and the Fort Carson Dental Health Activity are offering a Volunteer Dental Assistant Training Course starting in January, 2026. Applications are still available at the Evans Army Community Hospital Red Cross office and are due back by 4 p.m. July 25, 2025 (No late applications will be accepted).
Applicants must be military ID cardholders at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED and be a U.S. citizen. The free course will run Jan. 6, 2025, through June 25, 2025. For more information contact the EACH Red Cross office at 719-526-7144.

Airmen from the 910th Medical Squadron from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, visited Evans Army Community Hospital June 16-27 to brush up on critical medical skills. The 18 Air Force Reservists received training in their Air Force specialties in a variety of hospital areas to include the emergency department, intensive care unit, inpatient, optometry, behavioral health, and others.

Date Change: Pregnancy Loss Support Group:
For July only, the Pregnancy Loss Support Group will meet on July 10, 2025 from 9-11 a.m. in Bldg. 1012 on Long Street between Specker Ave and Wetzel Ave on Fort Carson. The Support Group normally meets the first Thursday of the month, but due to the upcoming holiday weekend, the meeting was rescheduled.

The monthly support group is for families affected by the loss of a pregnancy, infant or child. This is open to everyone to include active duty, dependent spouses and retirees or EACH staff members.

4th of July Weekend Holiday Hours:
In observance of Independence Day, EACH will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, with the exception of Inpatient and the Emergency Department. If not listed otherwise, EACH clinics will be closed Friday, July 4, 2025, and will be open on Monday, July 7, 2025. See below for details on specific clinics.

Pharmacy: Closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. On Monday, July 7, 2025, Main Outpatient Pharmacy will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; all other outpatient pharmacies will be closed.

Lab: Closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. On Monday, July 7, 2025, the outpatient lab (phlebotomy) will close at noon.

Dental Clinics: All dental clinics will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. On Monday, July 7, 2025, all dental clinics will be closed except Dental Clinic #2, which will be open for dental emergencies and dental readiness needs.

School/sports physical appointments are available throughout the summer on a variety of dates and times. Call now to make an appointment for your kiddos. The EACH Pediatric and Ivy Clinics are offering sports and school physicals for children ages 4-18 who are enrolled for care at EACH. Physicals will be offered BY APPOINTMENT ONLY by calling the appointment line at 719-526-2273.
