Meet the newest member of the Bottom-Up Stables herd, Bitsie! Miniature horse, Bitsie, joined the Bottom-Up Stables family on Valentine’s Day. Bottom-Up Stables on our St. James campus is a special place where our kids learn how to strengthen their human relationships by building close ones with animals. This sweet girl is already making connections with our kiddos and is excited to get all the love and attention they have to offer.

KVC Health Systems and Great Circle leaders have traveled across the state to meet people face-to-face, talk through the shared values driving our day-to-day work, answer questions, and get team members’ input on our future as KVC Missouri. Leaders including Jason Hooper, President & CEO of KVC Health Systems; Erin Stucky, Chief Operations Officer of KVC Health Systems; Lindsey Stephenson, President of KVC Missouri; James Roberson, Senior VP of KVC Missouri; and Paula Fleming, President & CEO of Great Circle traveled to St. Louis, Springfield, Columbia, St. James, and Kansas City.
We are always striving to better serve Missouri children and families. As we join together, we are excited to continue providing much-needed mental health, family, and community support. We are so excited to share that we have finalized our agreement to integrate with KVC Missouri! On April 1, Great Circle’s nearly 800 employees will become part of KVC. Together, we will be able to provide preventative family strengthening services, foster care, children’s mental health treatment, educational academies, and other services statewide. “The combined strength of KVC Missouri and Great Circle is a win for the state because it expands children’s and families’ access to care at a time when needs are increasing,” said Lindsey Stephenson, President of KVC Missouri. Our first foster parent training of 2023 focuses on su***de prevention and intervention. Children in foster care are at a four times greater risk of su***de, making support from the adults in their lives especially important. Participants will unpack myths versus facts, gain a deeper understanding of risk factors, and learn how caregivers can increase protective factors. Children in foster and adoptive care visited with Santa at our Holiday Fair on the Webster Groves campus. Children and families received toys, clothing and personal care items. Thank you to the Webster Groves Police Department, Rock Hill Fire Department, Great Circle Friends, Shoes from the Heart and the Midwest Jeep Off-Road Hers who helped bring some holiday magic to our community!

Children in foster and adoptive care shared their secret wishes with Santa and Prancer the reindeer on Saturday, Dec. 10, during Great Circle’s Holiday Fair on the Webster Groves campus.

More than 400 U.S. Army Fort Leonard Wood soldiers marched with 100 bags of toys to our St. James campus this morning! Our kids will definitely feel the joy of Christmas thanks to this incredible toy drive. We are forever grateful!
