An AR licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist working with children demonstrating communication, or speech language impairments as well as difficulties with oral motor skills, or feeding. I have earned an Early Intervention Credential, Teacher Certification and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. I continue educating myself and keeping up

with what's current by attending conferences, trainings, webinars, continuing education, and professional development as often as possible. I graduated with honors from Northeastern State University with a Master of Science in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. There, I completed an 8-week internship in an elementary school setting (group therapy, pre-K through 4th grade), an 8-week internship in a hospital setting (acute care, adults), and a 16-week externship in a pediatric clinic setting (feeding, birth to 18). Welcome to 123 Speech Therapy! I’m Janea Darby, a licensed & certified Speech-Language Pathologist working with children demonstrating communication, or speech language impairments, as well as difficulties with oral motor skills, or feeding.

With nine years of experience, I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving young children in the Chicago-land area in their homes; school-aged children in an elementary school in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and children birth to 21 in a pediatric outpatient clinic in Northwest Arkansas where I started and supervised the speech therapy department for almost four years. In July of 2018, I announced that I was taking the plunge into private practice and making 123 Speech Therapy more than just an informational resource page for parents & therapists, but an actual business! I specialize in feeding disorders, late talkers and social language skills and competencies. For more info, check out my website or send me a message anytime!
