A lot of my clients have been asking me about intuitive eating ✨

Sometimes people think intuitive eating leads to being unhealthy ❌ weight gain 👎🏼ordering take out & getting fast food everyday listening to your cravings…

Intuitive eating is connecting to your body & being able to hear what it wants & needs ✨ once you strip away all the rules, restrictions & limitations, you start to realize you don’t actually want French fries & cake every day of your life & when you do want them, you don’t have to overindulge & feel sick or guilty from it 💯

If you are on a health journey right now, let this be your reminder that it’s not all about weight! ✨ Changing your behaviors to improve your health doesn’t mean you’re going to lose weight

Instead of having this feel defeating & frustrating, start focusing on improvements you’ve made that aren’t weight focused! This can look like more energy, 🙌🏼less bloating,🤞🏼better veggie intake, 🥦 etc.

⏩️ start the day with a glass of water for more energy & better function
⏩️ start adding a vegetable to one meal every day
⏩️ start having beans once a week
⏩️ start walking for 5-10 minutes after eating lunch
⏩️ start a new hobby you do once a month
⏩️ start stretching in bed before going to sleep

MaryAnn Stockhauser, MS, RD, CDN

Hello! My name is MaryAnn Stockhauser and I am a Registered Dietitian (RD). I have my Master of Science in nutrition and dietetics through the accredited combined Master and Internship program at SUNY Oneonta. Currently, I work as an acute care clinical RD at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center through the Mohawk Valley Health System located in Utica, NY. I'm a nature loving, sweets seeker, who travels to enjoy the most well-known food around. I strongly believe there is power through food and nutrition to directly affect the way you feel and live not only now, but in the years to come. I am here to help guide and educate the everyday person on the impact of the choices they make each and every day. I'm just like you in so many ways, trying to live a healthy life in a world where every week there is a "new" way to do it. So, if you're ready to take this nutrition journey with me, hop on.
