Robert P. “Uncle Bob” Hopkins, 88, of Scranton, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scranton. Married on May 30, 1970 to the former Jeanne (Altieri), the couple celebrated 55 years together.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 12:00 Noon at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp.

Visitation will be held following the service until 4:00 pm, also at the funeral home.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Pilosi, affectionately known as Mrs. P. Ruth passed away peacefully surrounded by love and family. Formerly of Old Forge, Ruth resided in Gouldsboro with her devoted daughter Susan and faithful service dog, Maggie.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 21 at 10:15 am from Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp. with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am in St. Rita's Church, 512 Main St. in Gouldsboro. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp.

The viewing will be held on Friday, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, also at the funeral home.

Angelo Joseph Talarico, Jr., 86, of Moscow, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Taylor. He was the widower of Joan (Vadovosky) Talarico, who passed away on February 24, 2003. The coupled celebrated 38 years of marriage.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7 at 10:30 am at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp. Interment with Rite of Committal and military honors will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp.

Mary V. Nesbitt, 66, of Lake Ariel, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, surrounded by her loving family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, November 7th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First Street, Spring Brook Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in All Saints Slovak Cemetery located at 4622-4656 Hamlin Highway (Route 590) Moscow, PA 18444.

Robert A. “Robi/Bob” Wagner of Spring Brook Twp. passed away on his 66th birthday, May 29, 2025, with his wife by his side after a brief fight with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Brenda (Syrylo) Wagner and they enjoyed almost 23 years of a loving marriage.

Barbara Ann Waltman Eyler, 89, of Gouldsboro, passed away surrounded in love on October 9, 2025. Born in Littlestown on June 10, 1936, she was the daughter of Henry and Mildred Waltman. After graduating high school, she went to Washington, D.C., to train to become an RN. Not long after, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Eyler, who swept her off her feet on their first date, which consisted of a moonlit, car-radio dance under a church pavilion. From that moment on, they were inseparable, exchanging vows on June 8, 1957.

Barb was adamant that she did not want family and friends to spend time at a viewing and funeral grieving. She wanted everyone to focus on the love and happiness that was her life when she was here. To honor her wishes, there will be no services. Instead, tell a friend or loved one a story of how she touched your life, sip a hot cup of tea, or breathe in a beautiful fall day.
