Marilyn Croak, 89, a resident of Gouldsboro for 69 years, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit in Dunmore. She was the widow of Richard Joseph Croak, who passed away on May 2, 2019 and the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13 at 10:30 am at St. Rita's Church, 512 Main Street in Gouldsboro. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp. Family and friends are kindly requested to meet at the church on Wednesday for the Mass.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First Street in Spring Brook Twp.

Michael Andrew Antosh 62 of Covington Twp., passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 28th 2025. His wife is Mauri (Flannery) Antosh and the couple were married for 30 years.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday August 5 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with memorial service at 12:00 pm, at Peckville Assembly of God, 3364 Scranton Carbondale Highway Blakely, PA 18447.

James John “Senator” Smith, 80, of Covington Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Scranton.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17 at 11:00 am in St. Eulalia's Church, 214 Blue Shutters Road in Roaring Brook Twp.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, also at the church.

Karl F. Swingle, Jr., 64, of Gouldsboro, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Zindle Swingle with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage.

Edward J. Moran, 78, of Covington Twp. passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. Married on October 16, 1976 to the former AliceAnn (Gasbarro), the couple would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this year.

Edward's family will celebrate his life privately.

Doris Lorraine (Holland) Kennedy, 90, of Moscow, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Married on November 5, 1955 to the late Robert Kennedy, the couple was married for 50 years when he passed away on February 13, 2006.
