The memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 12:00 noon at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp. Interment with military honors will follow in Maple Lake Cemetery in Spring Brook Twp.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 11:00 am until the time of the service, also at the funeral home.

Trevor Paul Schirra, 32, of Dickson City, formerly of Roaring Brook Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 22 at 10:00 am in Saint Ann Basilica, 1250 St. Ann Street in Scranton. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery in Blakely. Trevor's family kindly requests that all those who are attending the Mass proceed directly to the church Monday morning.

The viewing will be held Sunday, September 21 from 2:00 pm to 5:00pm at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp.

24. Never forget.

15 years has come and gone.
Some ran into to help, others ran out to escape.
The heroes wore badges, bunker gear & some, just their everyday clothes. Their attire didn't matter, their actions spoke for them.
Some weren't wearing a uniform, they just went to work on a "normal" day, not knowing what would happen that day.
15 years later, WE STILL REMEMBER.

Robert W. “Scotti” Scott, 67, of Scranton, formerly of Gouldsboro, passed away on Tuesday, September , 2025 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit in Dunmore. Married on April 20, 1991 to the former Nancy (Sardo), the couple celebrated 34 years together.

Services will be private.

Louis Ferrari, 89, of Roaring Brook Twp., formerly of the South Scranton area, passed away on August 29, 2025. He was the widower of Helene Ferrari, who passed away on December 11, 2021, after 57 years of marriage.

Dolores (Dee McLain) Butler, 86, of Spring Brook Twp. passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Oakwood Terrace in Moosic. She was the widow of John W. Butler, who passed away on May 18, 2022, and was married for 64 years.

Marilyn Croak, 89, a resident of Gouldsboro for 69 years, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit in Dunmore. She was the widow of Richard Joseph Croak, who passed away on May 2, 2019 and the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13 at 10:30 am at St. Rita's Church, 512 Main Street in Gouldsboro. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp. Family and friends are kindly requested to meet at the church on Wednesday for the Mass.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 3 First Street in Spring Brook Twp.
