We are excited to announce the newest edition to our team! Garrett graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy after receiving his B.S in Exercise Science from High Point University. He has a background in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and post surgical rehab. He is certified in dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation. Garrett follows an osteopathic approach, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms using evidenced based practice. Outside of the clinic he enjoys going to the beach, running, and recreational weight lifting

This weekend Blue Hills Braintree had the pleasure to host Dry Needling for the Lumbar Spine and Lower Extremity (DN-2) through the Spinal Manipulation Institut by e ( ). A special thank you to instructor, Dr. Peter Zorn, for not only # sharing his extensive knowledge but for such a fun and engaging class.

With DN-2 under her belt, Braintree clinician Sydney Galvin, DPT is a certified dry needling practitioner (cert. DN). Congratulations, Sydney!

Bright things are in store for Blue Hills Braintree in 2023! 🎉

We are happy to announce that Dr. Andrew DeStefano, PT, OCS has been accepted into the 2023 Cohort for a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT) through the Academy of Manipulative Therapy. FAAOMPT is a specialized area of physical therapy practice for the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, emphasizing research-based clinical reasoning and the utilization of specific manual therapy techniques. This flexible 18 month program allows PTs to pursue their fellowship, which includes didactic education and intensive clinical mentorship, while maintaining a full time work schedule.

Andrew would like to thank the whole team at Blue Hills PT and our parent company, Pinnacle Rehab Network ( ), whom without their support this honor achievement would not be possible!

It was a busy weekend for Blue Hills PT Braintree!

We are proud to have hosted Dry Needling for the Neck and Upper Extremities through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy( ). Thank you to Dr. Ben England, PT, FAAOMPT, Dip. Osteopractic for sharing his knowledge. This course was attended by our very own clinicians, Sydney Galvin and Brittany Yaxter. With this course under her belt, Brittany has received her certification of Dry Needling (cert. DN). Congratulations, Brittany!! 🎉

In the same weekend, Braintree manager, Andrew DeStefano, traveled to Fort Worth, Texas to test and show his proficiency for AAMT’s certification of Spinal Manipulation.

Last weekend, Blue Hills Braintree had the pleasure of hosting the Spinal Manipulation Therapy - 1 seminar through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy ( ). Among the attendants were our clinicians, Brittany Yaxter (Braintree/ Weymouth) and Kara Smith (Weymouth).

This course focuses on the technical and practical techniques to perform high-velocity low-amplitude thrust manipulation for all regions of the spine. These techniques can be helpful in the management of spine related pain with immediate decrease in pain, increase in range of motion, increase circulation, relaxation of tight muscles, and improved muscle function.

Blue Hills remains dedicated to providing the best, evidence-based, treatment and skills to help our patients achieve their goals. Thank you to AAMT for helping us with our mission.
