This week being the hardest month of the year for Hawaii’s blood supply and we can’t seem to catch up.

While everyone else is coming back refreshed from summer break, the blood supply has had no summer vacation and our shelves are empty.

Fortunately, when we call out, you show up and roll up your sleeves. This Thankful Thursday, we send a special mahalo to those who donated this week during our “Rice Day in Hawaii Nei”

All who donated blood at our two blood centers received a 15lb bag of Maika’i Premium Short Grain Rice.

And mahalo to Foodland for their partnership. Because of you, patients got the blood they needed this week! Next week will be another opportunity to help save lives.
