Wellstar is partnering with Gabbi to help women ages 24 to 39 assess their breast cancer risk early. Using AI-driven screenings and telehealth, Wellstar, Catalyst by Wellstar and Gabbi have already helped more than 100 women discover an increased risk and taken action to develop personalized care plans. Lung cancer screening can detect cancer earlier, improving outcomes for patients. While lung scans are always available at our imaging centers, Wellstar will offer low-dose CT scans at several imaging locations on National Lung Cancer Screening Day November 8 to help patients fit screenings into their schedules. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Wellstar was proud to support events across our communities. At the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Atlanta, Wellstar served as the survivor tent sponsor, helping celebrate and uplift over 700 survivors. More than 60 Wellstar team members joined forces to support this year’s event. For the 12th year in a row, Wellstar served as the medical crew sponsor for the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer GA 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. Over 50 Wellstar team members volunteered their time to serve on the medical crew over the two-day event. Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center partnered with Breast Friends For Life - BFFL to host Paint the Town Pink in downtown LaGrange for the 19th year in a row.
