Jamie.Yoga

Yoga has been part of my life since high school. It was offered as an alternative to

volleyball and basketball in gym class. Later on, I practiced yoga in college as a

compliment to my dance training and was interested in classes like Svaroopa and

Restorative because they offered a beautiful form of nurturing. Yoga has helped me

to truly be in the present moment, let go of stress and feel connected to community.

I studied with Devarshi Steven Hartman and Priti Robyn Ross from the Kripalu

School of Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA and received a 200-hour certification

in 2012. I also received a 30 hour Children’s Yoga certification through Karma Kids

in 2013 and a 60-hour Path of Service certification from Shri Yoga which includes

Outreach Fundamentals, Teaching in Schools & Adaptive populations and serving

Seniors, Military and Recovery populations.

I have been teaching yoga for 5 years and am known for helping people stay

grounded and focused while being deeply present. People say I help them unwind,

let go and feel connected to themselves. I have taught for places like the YMCA,

private schools, yoga studios, home-based studios, a shoe store, non-profit art

organizations, a well known art retreat (Squam Art Workshops) and a world class

boxing studio owned by the star from the “Contender” show.
