Coming up this month!

Join Dr. Dania Tamimi at the end of this month for her 10 Credit Webinar "How to Read a Cone Beam CT – Dentoalveolar Edition"!

This live webinar will move your 3D diagnostic skills to the next level! Dr. Tamimi brings in her understanding of the craniofacial complex and how it interacts with not only itself, but also with the rest of the human body. The course is designed to relay this understanding to the participants through graphic representation and radiographic images. The anatomy viewed on the CBCT scan can give important clues to the patient’s condition and overall health and, when paired with the clinical information, can be integral to the development of a sound treatment plan. The CBCT scan presents the three-dimensional information to us. This course will teach you to derive this information from the scan. For each anatomic structure reviewed, the relevance to dentistry and how to manipulate the anatomy to find the necessary diagnostic information will be covered.

You must visit Jordan!

I had the pleasure of speaking for the Jordanian Commision for Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction and Jordan Dental Association / نقابة اطباء الاسنان الاردنية and the Jordanian Commision for Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction, and then exploring Jordan last week. What an incredible country and what hospitable people! Meeting all these wonderful dentists and speaking in Arabic for a change was quite refreshing. The new friends I’ve made are true gems!

And, then, there’s Jordan 🇯🇴 itself. An ancient land filled with history, from prehistoric to modern and many layers of complexity. From the mosaics of Madaba, to the biblical sites galore, the tombs of the prophets, the marvelous dead sea and Wadi Rum (think Lawrence or Arabia, but also the site of the filming of the eponymous movie, The Martian, Dune 1 and 2 and countless others), and crusader fortresses. Not to mention Petra, which is a magnificent not-to-be-missed part of our human heritage.

Thank you, .zahaamarin for your kind hospitality and for accompanying me on part of this journey. Your including me into your family is the most precious thing I take from this trip 💓

The kindness and hospitality of the Georgian people is hard to beat! And my host, was the embodiment of the ideal host and a great representative of her country where a guest is carried on top of their heads.

On October 11-12, I gave a two-day course to a very enthusiastic and curious audience of Georgian dentists. Tamuna made sure every detail was perfect and that I tried every Georgian delicacy (including khlabi fruit leather 😁) and took me to see almost all the main attractions of Eastern and Northern Georgia, including the house in which Stalin was born.

My translator, Tinatin Koiava (an orthodontist) worked very hard those two days. I often say that translators often work harder than the presenter and should be given a lot of credit. Kudos to you, dear friend!

Such a wonderful experience and such a wonderful host! Until we meet again! 🇬🇪 ❤️
