Really enjoying practicing family medicine again in Manchester!

One of the new best parts is seeing how many people feel so much better after losing fat and gaining muscle with treatments with the Emsculpt Neo. I thought it was a good machine, but I am really pleased with what it is doing for people.

Also really liking the questions and creative suggestions the patients have given me for using it. I listen, look up what I can, and learn. They are making me smarter 🤓 every day!

January is National Cervical Health Month. I believe that cervical cancer is something we can get rid of in my lifetime, and I would like to see that! So, EVERYONE (and that means boys and men, too!) get vaccinated against HPV. And women, vaccinated or not, get your Pap or HPV screening done on a regular basis. If you are over 30, see my "Ounce of Prevention" article in the Manchester Journal (to be published in the electronic edition on January 27) for more (and exciting!) information.

Dr. LoPresti was born & raised on Long Island, NY. He completed medical school at University of Vermont and fell hopelessly in love with Vermont. He had a private practice right here in Manchester VT from 1991 to 2001, and he is thrilled to be back home!

Give the gift of Life this month! Is it National Blood Donor month in January. Blood is used to help kids and adults with cancer who are having bone marrow affecting chemotherapy, during and after operations, and in cases of major trauma. Only blood can replace blood. Please give!!

The practice will be closed for December 17 to December 20, so I can celebrate the holidays with my daughters coming in from Milwaukee and Los Angeles. I WILL have my office phone and computer available, and will be able to take care of needs that do not require seeing you. Happy holidays to all!

National Family Medical History Day is always Thanksgiving Day. This was planned to coincide with when many families may be getting together. Is there someone in your family who has collected a detailed family medical history? If not, appoint one and get started! As one former Surgeon General said, "Knowing your family medical history can save your life". I have personal experience that that is true. Please do this for you and everyone you love! If you have questions when you are done, I am glad to assist (I am well-trained in genetics and if I'm stumped, my daughter is a Board Certified Genetic Counselor).
