What a year for the expansion team, the ! Congratulations Golden State Valkyries! 🙌🏀💯
We mostly watched from home as they broke record after record and showed the world how exciting women’s basketball can be.
They actually made it to the playoffs as a first time team! They did it with grace and toughness, with energy and focus and as a team.
The Live. Longer. Happier. connection is multidimensional.
From the inspiration they give to others to be the best you can be even if you are just starting, to the community built around them to the fun times I had connecting with my family and the greater community, its connection and energy at its top.
Me personally? I do have some tips for going to a basketball game or other event where you sit a lot and the food tends to be well… not highly touted for its nutrition or naturalness!
Here are my tips (especially if you are gluten free, vegan/vegetarian and react to too much salt and preservatives…
1️⃣ Eat lots of protein and healthy carbs before the event!
2️⃣ You can usually find some veggies or salad or fruit that’s plain (watch out for the salad dressings) at the venue.
3️⃣ Scout out online the food choices at the venue ahead of time. I knew right where to go to get my veggies! And it was only in one place.
4️⃣ They might not let you bring in food, but you can bring in your packet of Meta Power or Energized Peptides to mix with some water.
5️⃣ Be a good fan and STAND UP to cheer as often as possible!
6️⃣ Take breaks at any pause or break. I do that a lot and kind of embarrass my family, but they have gotten used to it (and even do a little with me).
