The Card of the Day is...
5's represent transition points in our lives, and the 5 of Pentacles is no exception. It's one of the more bleak pictures. I sometimes call this the "Out in the Cold" card. In other words, in some situation, you are feeling left "out in the cold" when the 5 of Pentacles appears for you. This could be literal, especially if you are having financial problems and fear eviction or losing your home in some sense.

At the same time, in love, this card could suggest you are being given the cold shoulder and someone has completely forgotten or forsaken you. But at the same time, there is some sense of abandonment here, either in a bigger family way, or in a small way. The child walking here is also somewhat lame. The 5 of Pentacles says that whoever has abandoned you or tossed you out doesn't care about your current situation. This is a tough card of loss and hardship - it sends a clear message that you are on your own. At the same time, it's telling you that you can do it on your own too. This is a transition card. Things will not always be this sad.

Green is a very natural, healing color.

The energy of the green color you see in nature, especially at this time of the year, can be so healing.

The color green is associated with the liver energy so when you take time each day to look at all the green things, green grass, new leaves on the trees, new growth on shrubs and bushes, you really help to strengthen your liver energy just by looking at them.

Liver energy shows out through the eyes so when the eyes receive green information that energy goes back to the liver.

It is so very nurturing, very healing.

Also, Try to incorporate green into your home or wardrobe, especially in springtime.

The harvest doesn't lie.

Whatever you planted in spring, whatever you protected in summer β€” fall reveals it all.

Small harvest? That's feedback. It means you need to plant more, protect better, or choose different seeds. But it's not a reason to quit. It's information.

Large harvest? That's confirmation. You did something right. Celebrate it. But don't let success make you arrogant or complacent.

Jim's wisdom here is about character. How you handle the harvest β€” whether abundant or disappointing β€” determines whether you'll have the resilience to plant again.

Maturity is reaping without complaint or apology. It's owning the results, learning from them, and using them to inform the next cycle.

Fall always comes. The question is: what will you do with what it brings?

High cholesterol is not a disease!

There are two types of cholesterol: HDL and LDL. HDL carries cholesterol from the cells back to the liver for recycling, while LDL delivers cholesterol to the cells.

Small, dense LDL particles can cause inflammation and other problems, but this typically occurs only when your glucose is high or you have insulin resistance.

Instead of fearing foods high in cholesterol, like red meat, eggs, and full-fat dairy, avoid refined sugars and starches that can increase small, dense LDL particles.

The Card of the Day is...

If you are asking a YES or NO question and the 4 of Swords appears, the message is WAIT. This is a card where no action is seen, but rather the figure here is lying down and likely asleep. This could be a deep sleep, and so the 4 of Swords is often the card we pull when someone is about to undergo surgery, in a coma, or even institutionalized in another forum such as jail, prison, or rehab. This may also be a card where mental or psychological rehabilitation is required.

The message from the 4 of Swords is to start taking care of you before problems get out of control. Perhaps you're simply just plain exhausted! Sometimes you just need to retreat from the world and take a nap or sink into a very long sleep. If it's work or love you are asking about, this card is telling you to take a break and spend some downtime in serious reflection. There is no yes or no answer today, just, spend some time alone and the spiritual world will bless you with more answers.

Life is for happiness.

Anger, hatred, sadness, depression, anxiety, suffering, fighting, negative thoughts, etc., can only bring unhappiness to you and diminish the beauty of your life.

Smiling, loving, forgiveness, and kindness bring happiness to you and add more value to your life.

When you let go of anger and fighting, you feel so free spiritually, physically, and mentally, too.

Life is really so short.

Wouldn't you rather choose to experience more good things in your life, instead of spending unreplaceable time focusing on anger, depression, and sadness?

When unhappy things come, consider this as a chance to learn from the past and help you grow.

Say "thank you" to the unhappy things for bringing you to this moment of awareness and then Let go of the past. Hope for the future.

It rains today, it shines tomorrow; but the universe stays the same. Let go of the unbearable sorrows and just be yourself.

Then you will discover the true value of your life--the true value of being a human being. Open yourself to the universe. Then you will have peace of mind.
