Sometimes friends 🙋‍♀️ show up at the same networking event 🤝 and get to ride the Stanley Steamer 💨 together. 😃 We smiled every minute of the ride around town.

I love ❤️ when friends visit beautiful places ✨ and think to send me 📸 pics. This is Mexx, a stunning interactive art exhibit 🎨 at SFER IK in Mexico. Artist credit= .makoto

It aims to blur 🌫 the line between natural 🌿 and artificial 🤖 and it does so with some incredible 🪵 materials, 🔺 shapes, and manipulation of ☀ natural light. Oh how I would love 😍 to visit myself.

This bathroom 🛁 is giving amazing 🌞 summer vibes. It was such a delight to stumble across it at my 💇‍♀️ hairdresser’s studio.

I really love 💛 bold wall treatments in a small-ish bathroom. But there’s debate 🧐 about wallpaper. Is the effect worth the pain 😬 of taking it down later? I’m on the fence… but this sure is pretty. 😍

Spotted 👀 this kickass light fixture at a sweet little diner 🍽 in Damariscotta. 70’s stained glass. I almost asked if I could take it home with me. 😍 The whole place was full of ✨ vintage stained glass pendants of all shapes and sizes. 🔸🟡🔺🟦

Remember 💭 that time I designed a house 🏠 with my parents? They still live there and it’s still gorgeous ✨ but now the landscaping 🌳 looks a little nicer. 😂

Recently took the kids 👧👦 to visit my friend’s new 🏠 house. Look at those views! 👀

Kids' highlight of the visit: riding up ⬆️ to the second floor in the lift. My son’s dream come true. 😆

Iceland trip 🧳 (last post!)… The Church of Hallgrímur ⛪ in Reykjavik might be one of the most stylistically cohesive churches I’ve ever visited. (And I’ve seen A LOT of churches, read: architecture nerd. 🤓) It was designed to resemble the basalt “organ pipe” formations in Iceland.

It was completed in 1986 and is expressionist style architecture (according to wikipedia, we know I’m terrible with identifying architectural styles 🤷‍♀️).

Iceland trip 🧳 (post 3 of 4!)… I was stunned 😮 when I walked through an unassuming door 🚪 off the sidewalk into this (basically hidden 🫣) food hall! The interiors are just gorgeous. ✨ Elegant, eye-catching, stimulating.

Iceland trip 🧳 (post 2 of 4!)… This house 🏠 was being built around the corner ⤴ from our Airbnb in Reykjavik. I love the 🪵 wood skin. Siding AND roofing!

Scroll ➡ to see the roof 🚧 under construction. We’re seeing grey (vapor-open) roof underlayment. Then vertical ⬆ strapping (for ventilation). Then horizontal ➡ nailers (to attach roofing). Next will come that stunning wood roofing! 😍

I tried to ask the builders 👷 what kind of wood it is but I quickly became the annoying tourist 😅 who didn’t speak their language so we left. Any ideas on wood species?? 🧐

I visited Iceland 🧳 with a friend 👯‍♀️ back in April and the architecture there is SO 😎 cool.

In Reykjavik, the prevailing siding types were corrugated metal 〰️ and stucco. The variety of colors 🎨 and patterns was truly delightful. A feast 🤩 for the eyes.

Plus they give me a great excuse to get out of the woods 🌲 and down to the “big city” 🏙 for a working lunch! 🥪☕️
