Keeping it raw and real with you today…

Since a lot of my clients ask what I eat for breakfast, here’s a behind-the-scenes of what my morning actually looked like 👇

🥚 scrambled eggs with avocado & veggies, dry whole wheat toas
☕ coffee with almond milk creamer

It wasn’t perfect.

And of course, I didn’t measure anything.

And I ate it while listening to the latest episode of my favorite podcast 😅

But it did check my personal boxes:

✅ Easy
✅ Healthy & balanced
✅ Left me feeling full + focused
That’s what actually matters.

You probably wouldn’t expect this from me, but…

👉 I don’t always love working out.

I know — kinda ironic for a doctor of physical therapy and health coach, right?

But here’s the thing…

You don’t have to love every part of the process every day to stay consistent.

In fact, it’s not normal if you do :-)

Some days it feels amazing…

While on other days, I “5-4-3-2-1” it and get it done.

What matters most is showing up for yourself.

So if you’re someone who struggles to enjoy workouts when life feels chaotic…
That’s not a red flag. That’s being human!

Just keep showing up.

😴 Sleep-deprived -ex “Running on 6 hours of broken sleep”

🤯 Mental overload — ex. “Making 5,000 tiny decisions before 9am”

🥴 Physical stress — ex. “Ignoring the bloat because ‘your diet is clean’”

⚡ Emotional pressure — ex. “Feeling guilty anytime you’re not ‘on it’”

And all of it adds up.

It drains your energy. Disrupts your hormones.

Impacts your cravings, your consistency, and your progress.

You’re standing in the kitchen, exhausted.

It’s late (again). You haven’t had dinner. You’re staring into the fridge like maybe something will jump out and fix it for you.

Your body’s tired. Your brain’s done.

And you think: “I just need a break.”

But what if the real answer isn’t a break…

Not a reset. Not a juice cleanse…

But a shift in how you take care of yourself BEFORE it gets to this point.

Real self-care might look like:

→ Being honest with yourself about what’s not working anymore
→ Cancelling that thing you said “yes” to out of obligation
→ Setting a bedtime alarm to let you know when it’s time to start winding down for bed

“I know what to do, I’m just not doing it!”

That’s what Julianne told me when she first started with us…

And it wasn’t because she was lazy or didn’t care…

It was because her brain was stuck in this loop of:

❌ “Why bother trying again when I always fall off?”
❌ “Everyone else makes this look easy — what’s wrong with me?”
❌ “If I can’t do it perfectly, I may as well not bother.”

^^ This is the stuff that doesn’t get talked about enough.

So with Julianne, we didn’t start with a food plan….

We started with rewiring her patterns.

✅ Catching the self-sabotage while it was happening
✅ We helped her redefine what “success” actually looks like
✅ Practicing neutral self-talk when things didn’t go perfectly

Once her energy wasn’t being drained by guilt, overthinking, and shame…she finally had the bandwidth to take action.

Not all at once. Not perfectly. But consistently.

And now — she’s more confident, more energized, and finally feels in control of her health again 🙌

Or feeling like no matter how much you sleep, it’s never enough...

It’s easy to chalk it up to “just how life is.”

But if the same habits, the same patterns, and the same choices keep repeating—
It’s not just “happening.”

👉 You are choosing it.

That might sound harsh, but it’s actually good news.

Because once you see it, you can do something about it.

You can start choosing:

✅ “real food over fast food”
✅ “a 10 minute walk instead of skipping your workout completely”
✅ “a consistent bedtime, even when Netflix says ‘next!”
