What is one small (or big) act of kindness or love you’ve done recently? What is an everyday deed someone did that give you a little bit of light recently?
"It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." - J.R.R. Tolkien
You don't have to save the whole world to make a difference.
Sometimes it's just holding the door. Sending that text to check in. Smiling at a stranger. Letting someone know they're seen. Choosing kindness when you could choose indifference.
We spend so much time thinking we need to do something grand or monumental to matter. But the truth is, it's the small, quiet, everyday acts of love that hold the world together. It's the ordinary magic we create when we show up for each other in the little moments.
Your kindness matters. The way you treat the cashier, the patience you show in traffic, the grace you give to yourself when you're struggling, all of it ripples out further than you'll ever know.
The darkness doesn't win because of one big catastrophe. It creeps in when we stop caring, when we stop reaching out, when we forget that we're all connected. But every time you choose love? Every time you offer compassion when it would be easier not to? You're pushing it back.
You're more powerful than you think. And your small acts of kindness? They're keeping the light alive.
Never underestimate what your heart can do. 💫
