July can be a prime time for certain tree diseases to become more prevalent or noticeable. Here's what you should look for:
**Oak Wilt: This is a major concern for oak trees, especially live oaks, and can cause rapid defoliation and death if not addressed.
**Hypoxylon Canker: This fungal disease often strikes stressed hardwoods like oaks and elms, particularly during or after droughts.
**Leaf Blight: Various fungal diseases can cause leaf spots and premature leaf drop in different tree species.
**Dutch Elm Disease: This fungal disease, spread by bark beetles, can cause rapid decline and death in elms.
