Members and friends of the San Diego Kiwanis Club & Foundation gathered at The Westgate Hotel near PETCO Park to welcome former MLB Outfielder, Padres’ broadcaster, and American Lung Association Ambassador Tony Gwynn Jr.
In partnership with organizations like Kiwanis, whose mission is improving the world one child and one community at a time, we’re able to extend our impact and bring people together around a shared cause. Continuing the Hall of Fame legacy of his father, Tony Gwynn, Tony shared special memories and life experiences while speaking about the importance of lung health and community service.
Guests were invited to join Tony’s Batting .500 Club and to attend the upcoming Lung Association Pickleball Tournament & Gala on January 24, where Tony will be honored. The evening will also feature live music by Fleetwood MAX Tribute Band.
