Small steps still move you forward.
Actually… they’re the only steps that last.

Real, sustainable health isn’t built in a day — it’s built through simple, consistent choices that stack over time. You don’t overhaul everything at once. You anchor one habit, let it settle, and then you build on it.

Start with healthy hydration — 8oz of room-temperature natural spring water each morning, then every 2–3 hours until you’re consistently reaching 64oz a day.
Once that rhythm is established, add a focus on healthy motion or healthy sleep.

Progress doesn’t come from perfection — it comes from patience and obedience to the next right step.

Melt In Your Mouth Chicken Recipe ⬇️

Ingredients for 4 servings:

*28 oz raw boneless, skinless, chicken breasts or tenderloins - should cook down to 18 oz (3 Leans)
*1- 1/2 cups low fat plain Greek yogurt - (1 Lean)
*1 tsp garlic powder (2 Condiments)
*3/4 tsp salt (3 Condiments)
*1/2 tsp pepper (1 Condiment)
*1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (4 Condiments)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with non-stick foil. This is optional but it makes clean up easier.
Place chicken in baking pan in a single layer.
Combine yogurt with Parmesan cheese and seasonings in a medium sized bowl.
Distribute yogurt mixture evenly over chicken.
Bake 45 minutes or until 165* internal temp.
Be careful not to over cook.
Divide into 4 servings.

For clients: 1 Leaner | 2.5 Condiments / serving
~ Add1 Healthy Fat and 3 Greens / serving

Put your oven to work, while you tend to other chores. Tidy up and dance in your kitchen while it bakes for some healthy movement!

What's the first thing you drink in the morning?

Did you know that hydrating your body with 8oz of clean, natural spring water first thing in the morning helps your body systems work properly? We drink water filtered by a Berkey at my house!

Wake up, potty, weigh if it's a weigh day (I recommend only Monday .. and again Thursday if you must weigh more often than once a week) and then drink 8oz room temperature, natural spring water.

Room temp matters! Why? Only for that 1st cup in the morning. You don't want to shock your system with ice cold water or hit coffee.
* Pro tip: set a cup of water beside your bed at night so it's available first thing in the morning as a reminder.

First thing matters! Why? Giving your body good hydration first thing in the morning with room temperature water tells your systems that it's time to wake up and go to work. It's like keeping the oil changed in your car! You can't run a car with no oil: over time it will shut down. It's the same way with water and your body systems! You may not feel it on the outside, but if you are not hydrating properly, your insides are cringing!

If you are starting your day with caffeine first, I encourage you to implement this hydration practice for the next 30 days and then gauge how you feel. You have to be consistent for 30 days and then decide!

You can see here that I drank 12oz in less than 15 seconds. You can do this! * Pro tip: If healthy hydration is an opportunity for you, start small with 8 ounces each morning for a week and then add 2 ounces each week until you get to 16 ounces of water each morning when you wake up!

Is your protein really worth the calories? 🧐 Just because a label says “high protein” doesn’t always mean it’s a smart source for the amount of calories you’re consuming.

Here’s an easy way to check the protein density:

👉 Look at the grams of protein.
👉 Multiply it by 10.
👉 If that number is higher than the total calories, it has high protein density - meaning you’re getting a lot of protein for the amount of calories.
👉 If it’s lower than the calories, it’s not really pulling its weight as a protein source.

Example:
A granola bar has 12 grams of protein → 12 × 10 = 120
But it has 200 calories. Since 120 is less than 200, it’s not very protein-dense.

Now another bar has 25 grams of protein → 25 × 10 = 250
If it only has 200 calories, now that’s protein-dense…you’re getting a good bang for your calorie buck.

It’s a simple, fun way to help kids (and adults!) learn how to read labels. And make smarter choices without overthinking it.

If you’ve got health goals, these things matter!! Pay attention to this part of the label, friend, not the splashy verbiage that {most often} is deceiving!

let me gently remind you of this:

✨ Health isn’t about perfection.
✨ Wellness isn’t about punishment.
✨ And this next year doesn’t require you to become someone new — it invites you to become more aligned.

Aligned with what fuels your body.
Aligned with what protects your peace.
Aligned with what God is already stirring in you.

Small, consistent choices still change lives.
Rest is still productive.

Progress still counts — even when it’s quiet.

So as the calendar turns, don’t just chase goals…
Choose rhythms that sustain you.

Sometimes we forget just how big our God really is. We measure His power by what we can see, instead of by Who He is. ✨

✨ Jesus is bigger than the lies of the enemy that whisper doubt.
✨ Bigger than the giants that look impossible.
✨ Bigger than the disappointments that think they can define you.
✨ Bigger than the opinions of others or the plans that didn’t work out.

The same God who split the sea,
raised the dead,
and spoke galaxies into being —
is still moving mountains for you. 🕊️

He’s not intimidated by what’s against you, because He already declared victory over it. 🙌🏻

Hesitant but hopeful. 💛

Today I take my hands off the wheel and trust the One who already knows the road ahead. 🛣️ I’m stepping forward one faith-filled step at a time, even when I can’t see the whole path.

I’m guarding my mind. 🛡️ I’m suiting up with the armor of God. ⚔️ And I’m reminding my soul:
“Yahweh is my portion, I need nothing more. I will put all my hope in Him.” (Lamentations 3:24)

If you’re in a season where surrender feels scary, this is your reminder that hope is safe in His hands. 💫
