I’m “good” all week and then it falls apart on the weekend.

Sound familiar? 🤷🏻‍♀️

If it does, you’re not alone!😬

Here are 3️⃣ TIPS for surviving the weekend WITHOUT feeling like you have to start over again on Monday:

🏃🏻‍♀️ Get your movement in early! Whether it’s a workout or a quick walk outside, get it done BEFORE the weekend plans can get in your way! Starting your day with a healthy habit will help you make better decisions throughout the rest of your afternoon!

💦 Don’t skip the H2O! We SO OFTEN mistake thirst for hunger, and if you’re anything like me, you’re in the kitchen 24/7 getting the kids’ snacks on Saturday and Sunday. So fill up that same water bottle you carry with you during the week and be sure to hit your water goal (half your body weight in ounces, minimum) before the sun sets!

🍩 Plan your indulgences! That’s right. HAVE THEM! But be intentional with your choices Going out to eat? Scope out the menu beforehand and decide if you prefer the wine or dessert! Going camping? Choose the chips & dip or the smores. Don’t just have everythaaaaang because it’s there! Ask yourself...what do I want MOST? Then have it...GUILT FREE!

OK — so 6 years ago, I DID A THING… and I have to share how EXCITED I am about it!

I have a new community of people cheering me on and friends already noticing a shift in me and asking me what’s changed!

I joined a virtual workout crew who has pushed me in thee BEST ways to grow towards my goals and stay committed! I get to choose 5 people to try it out alongside me in a group I’m launching myself in 2 weeks, which makes me nervous, but also SO VERY EXCITED!

Here I was, thinking home workouts weren’t for me… Your girl has converted and a believer! The lbs have come off and BEST of all, the BEST of me is coming OUT!

Don’t think about what can happen in a month. Don’t think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be.
You only get this day once. Why not make the most of it? Why not feel your absolute best, healthiest, and strongest?
Every day is another chance to get stronger, to eat better, to live healthier, and to be the best version of YOU.

Getting healthy - the truth 💪 I would never lie to you and tell you getting healthy and changing your habits is easy. It takes a lot of work, persistence and patience, BUT I will tell you it is totally worth how amazing you are going to feel!⠀

While it may not be easy, I will share some winning strategies the will make it easier 😁 Just know you can totally do this and to take it one step at a time.⠀

1 - Try to pick one area to improve at a time: Things like healthy food, hydration, exercise, meditation & good sleep are great to incorporate but fixing all areas at once are almost impossible. Pick one or max two areas and work on making that a habit before moving on to another area.⠀

2 - Learn to say no: If you’re changing your habits, there will be temptation surrounding you. There will be office birthday parties, holidays, outings etc constantly and it’s important you say no to the things you don’t want or things that don’t help you along your journey.⠀

3 - Pick a big WHY: If the reason you want to get healthy is only to weigh a few pounds less, it will most likely not be strong enough to stick to. Reasons like feeling your best so you can perform better on your job, having more energy for the kids or wanting to be in shape to do activities you love are much stronger reasons. Write down a few of them.⠀
4 - Be kind to yourself & forgiving: None of us are perfect. You are going to slip up and have a bad day or two. The worst is when you throw all your progress out the window for a mistake. Forgive yourself, move on and definitely do not feel guilty about treating yourself in moderation.

What is your why? Mine is I want to feel good in my clothes and not feel ashamed.

Good morning! ☀️ WHAT A POWERFUL PICTURE! You can put rhinestones on the peel of a rotten banana... but it’s still a rotten banana.🍌

We spend money and time at the nail salon getting a manicure and pedicure 💅, the salon for hours getting our hair just the right cut and color 💇‍♀️, the store stressing over clothes that fit, look and feel just right👗, and the spa getting facials or fillers that make our appearance more flawless! 👁

👉BUT.... we say it’s “too expensive” to take care of our inside.

Priorities friends! You only get ONE body. How long do you want it to last? Your health isn’t a luxury - if you want it to last, it’s necessary to Invest in it! And believe me...feeling good on the INSIDE will shine through to your exterior. So how about we finally do that TOGETHER? Cause you ARE worth it ya know.☺️💖🔆

Whatever happened in the past, forget about it. Everything always gets better, no matter how bad things seem. Today is a new day and can only get better! Focus on being better than you were yesterday.

We have been sold a lie by the diet industry that in order to get what we want we must look a certain way.

And friend, I am here to tell you that…

IT’S JUST NOT TRUE! 🤯

We have all tried all the gimmicks, programs, and fad diets and we know they just flat out don’t work.

I’m not special.

I don’t have any super willpower strength. I’m not overly motivated. I don’t have any magic resources, hidden secrets, or gobs of money buying my success.

There is nothing special about me that makes me any more qualified than anyone else to lose the weight, start the business, or do the dang thing.

I just started showing up and doing it. Every. Damn. Day. That’s it.

When we see people doing the things we wish we could do, our brains immediately assume there must be something special about them. We think they must have something that we don’t that’s afforded them the ability to do the thing.

It’s a BS safety mechanism that holds us back and keeps us small. Because assuming that THEY are special, means that WE don’t have to show up and do the work. Believing that they are innately more gifted, talented, or qualified is feeding into the belief that we are less-than or incapable of achieving the same things.

But here’s the honest truth - there are hundreds, maybe even THOUSANDS, of people less qualified than you doing the exact thing you dream of doing simply because they started showing up and believing that they could.

Natural talent is great, but it’s the SHOWING UP that matters most. It’s being willing to fail your way forward, learn through the process, and grow through every challenge you face.

I’m not special. I’m simply an example of what’s possible when we dare to believe in ourselves. If I can do it, you can ABSOLUTELY do it too. Stop playing small, dream bigger for yourself, and keep showing up.
