Today, we honor the life of William “Bill” Keeney of Satellite Beach, who passed away peacefully this morning on his 95th birthday.
I was blessed to have known Bill as a family friend since 2006, and for the last two years I had the privilege of caring for him more closely. This morning at 8am, I brought him a peace lily and a birthday balloon, and with his daughter Cindy on the phone, we sang him “Happy Birthday”. Though his eyes were closed, he was still with us, and I hope he felt the love surrounding him in that moment.
Not long after, at 10:30am, I received the call that Bill had passed. To leave this world on the very day you came into it feels like the closing of a perfect circle — a life fully lived, wrapped up with grace and dignity.
Bill was so much more than a friend or client — he was family. His smile, his warmth, and his gentle spirit will stay with me always.
Thank you Zon Beachside for all you have done in caring and advocating for him so well!
Rest peacefully, Bill. You are deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
