She gave me confidence and encouraged me to listen to what I wanted and not everyone elses negativity. when i became pregnant with #2, I knew without a doubt that I needed Katie in my corner. I am so grateful for her and all her support during my whole pregnancy and during labor and delivery. Every worry I had during my nine months she was able to put at ease with her compassion, knowledge. I know without her I would have weaned my first daughter and also would have gotten an epidural because of my dr and how he didnt want me to leave the bed in active labor. I loved how my husband and her switched off roles. When he was getting tired putting pressure on my back, she jumped right in. This gave him the confidence he needed to be there for me and it made us closer. I could never thank you enough Katie for all you've done! Everyone should have a Doula when giving birth and Katie should be that Doula!"

Anika about to meet River 2025

I met Anika and family on a road trip over coffee in Idyllwild. She was pregnant with her first and naturally we started talking 🫶🏽 We stayed in touch and I’m so glad we did. Anika and Andrew thank you for trusting me and inviting me to this tremendous morning surrounded by so much love.

I MISS YOU 🩷 Our dear Mikki is catching babies with .home.birth and she has been gone wayyy too long. My February client sent me this sweet pic of us meeting their new cat Chai. Can’t wait for more Chai cuddles and Mikki time in Feb!

Thank you baby Maximo and your wonderful family for the gift of knowing you all. This was his Mama’s third boy and first home water birth. Third times a charm ;) When she told me she flew helicopters I said, OH you’ve got this! 🚁 👶🏽

In case you are wondering what I think of my job… pretty sure my face in the last one says it all 😂

“Prenatal: I started with Katie at 33 weeks pregnant. After a simple intake and reviewing my medical records we started under her care. She uses a great app that helps to keep track of my medical history and follow up. She gave me great resources for birthing prep (prenatal supplements and chiropractor info, etc).

Day of Birth: (June 9th, 2024)- My water broke at 5:30 a.m. Katie would check in on me all day via phone and text to see how I was feeling (since contractions were mild and spaced out). She came by in the afternoon to set up her equipment and returned by 7:30pm with her assistant Tasha to get the last items ready.” Cont in comments…

the morning of July 2. Her first was a planned hospital, birth, her second an unplanned home birth, her third a planned homebirth with a backup midwife and her fourth a planned homebirth with her midwife. So without any hesitation at the news the surges at started we hopped in the car arriving to immediately set up… her husband caught him with her as he had before, there was no reason to meddle. The sun came up and it was a tranquil morning with loved ones and siblings looking on… we tucked them in and the bread baking resumed and the day carried on. Birth. Always a miracle and yet perfectly ordinary. 🍞🌅
