Career Day at RUHS with my girls! Even if I only helped 1-2 people with their career path at least 60 more learned that babies are born outside of the hospital and now know what a midwife is. They also all learned that they were all connected to a placenta at one time 😂 Thank you Cora and Zander for being front row participants! I seriously couldn’t do it without my tech savvy Sylvie. She made my powerpoint that kept me ever so slightly more on topic and allowed my to share some photos that hopefully expanded some young minds … 🤰🏻🌀🩺

I fell in love with Fredi’s spirit through her first email, met her the next day and we knew it was a match! Fredi is soo eager to grow and learn as a midwife and she already has all the heart and so much wisdom and life experience to offer those lucky enough to get to work with her! ✨🩶✨

these sequence of mother daughter images I captured were particularly moving. The placenta had just been born and my client was trying to breath through the afterpains with a warm heating pad on her belly. I had the realization that this year has been one were there has been so many mothers stepping in to support their daughters’ births and postpartum- judgement free and it’s a beautiful thing! This particular grandma had a homebirth herself and what she offered to her daughter’s space was so much peace 🕊️

Birth hours are almost always 2-6am!! This was 2:30 AM and baby arrived 5:01! 🌚✨

I met Anika and family on a road trip over coffee in Idyllwild. She was pregnant with her first and naturally we started talking 🫶🏽 We stayed in touch and I’m so glad we did. Anika and Andrew thank you for trusting me and inviting me to this tremendous morning surrounded by so much love.

I MISS YOU 🩷 Our dear Mikki is catching babies with .home.birth and she has been gone wayyy too long. My February client sent me this sweet pic of us meeting their new cat Chai. Can’t wait for more Chai cuddles and Mikki time in Feb!
