Welp - we are a little late to making the new year official on our social media. As we all know, this last year was... well... so last year!

Even with all the circumstances we faced, we still had the honor of supporting 24 incredibly resilient and amazing families as they prepared to welcome new souls into their worlds. Enjoy the sneak peak into our year!

We are very excited to officially share some rebranding and new content for y’all so get excited! More coming soon!
❤️ We love you ❤️

Sending out thank you notes to providers we have had the opportunity to work with at recent births. 💞

One of the most common questions we are asked in interviews by potential clients is how we work with the staff at their choice of birth place. Our response? COLLABORATIVE CARE!🤝

Each member of the support team has a different role. We want to collaborate with the attendants that our clients have chosen to let into their birth space 🎟 in the most positive way possible.

Here’s to colostrum, to engorgement, to sore ni***es, to weigh-ins, to leaking, to ni**le shields, to newborn snuggles, to supplementation, to over supply, to SNS feeding, to pumping, to knowing when to stop, to nursing into toddlerhood.

Here’s to however you are working tirelessly and lovingly to feed your babies. Thank you for the work you do to feed the future. Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 🍼🤱🏽

🤲🏽 Supporting Postpartum Families 🤲🏽

In 2013, Psychologist Susan Silk came up with the Ring Theory concept for crisis, and it is a lovely visual to show how not to say the wrong thing to someone going through a challenging time. We think this concept applies so well to support during the fourth trimester.

The person in the center ring can complain or say anything to anyone. Everyone else can only complain to people in larger rings, to reduce the burden on those doing the most emotional work. Comfort in/dump out. Partners- this means if you are exhausted and running on 6 hours of sleep, you have every right to grumble about it... just not to your spouse who was up feeding a baby all night.

As doulas, we see ourselves in the largest ring. We aim to provide comfort and support to all layers of your community, and everyone can feel safe venting to us.

🎉Doula Duo Introductions🎉⠀

Meet Bri Dewey - Bri is a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator and placenta encapsulator, not to mention she does this all while raising two littles of her own. My favorite things about Bri are her ever witty humor and smile. She brings a lively and comforting energy wherever she goes, providing such unique support to our clients. She is trustworthy, solid, and I couldn't ask to be partnered in birth work with a better human. ~Alicia .⠀⠀⠀

🎉 Doula Duo Introductions 🎉

Meet Alicia Edeline - Alicia is a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and placenta encapsulator. One of my favorite things about Alicia is her openness. She is welcoming to new experiences and viewpoints, allowing her to give unbiased support and meet our clients where they are. She is open to the twists and turns that birth often takes, and is a calm and confident passenger along for the ride. I always feel accepted and nurtured by Alicia, and I have no doubt that our clients feel it, too! ~Bri
