Let me introduce myself: I’m Lindy.
I’m a motivator and problem solver. I know psychology inside and out and am determined to get you unstuck and living your best life.
Plus, I have the experience and the credentials to get you there.
Let me explain.
My very first social work job was in early 2007 and was helping young, traumatized teenage girls gain confidence, skills, and make safe choices. Actually, if I am to be totally honest and count an internship I had in undergraduate school- so in 2004- my first job was actually helping traumatized middle school girls gain confidence and life skills.
Wow, when I look at those numbers I realize that I’ve been at this for almost 16 years. Or you could say 11 years since the beginning of graduate school. Since 2011 I have clinically specialized in helping people heal through past traumas and hardships and since 2012 I have had a private practice in helping people heal and move forward with their lives.
I’m good what I do. I’ve been hired on as a trauma therapist in two renowned treatment centers and today I am proud to say that I have an amazing practice with an incredible therapy dog in Portland, Oregon.
I am not telling you all of this to say how awesome I am. .
I am telling you this because I’ve sat and had personal conversations with hundreds and hundreds of people by now. I have seen people overcome hardships and pain and change their lives to build confidence and clarity. I’ve seen people go from overwhelmed and stressed out to embracing their inner wisdom and thriving in their lives.
I’m so serious. I’ve been a part of amazing transformations.
I’ve supported my clients in major life successes. They’ve been promoted, started their own companies, found love again, bettered their friendships and relationships, gotten married, have healthier relationships with their families, are taking care of themselves and in doing so spreading that love to everyone around them.
90% of my practice is women. And since 2004 I am still passionate about helping women go from overwhelmed and stuck to gaining confidence, overcoming hardships, and gaining clarity, balance, and peace in their lives.
The most successful people I’ve worked with have been equally invested in both overcoming what’s been holding them back and in changing their lives- meaning changing their self talk, learning to be more self compassionate, incorporating mindfulness into their lives, and working to create a life that’s more meaningful.
Which means that just 30% of the time we are working on overcoming past painful experiences and limiting beliefs. Wondering if you have any? I’ll give you a hint. If you ever believe that you’re not good enough, unworthy, unloveable, or that there’s something wrong with you- you’ve got them.
The other 70% of the time we are working together on transforming your life. On creating a road map of mental wellness. Of taking care of yourself. Of good habits that help you de-stress and recognize when your cup is too full and understand what your mind-body-soul need to fill it up again.
A little over a year ago I had an aha moment and realized that out of the decade of trauma work, I’ve become an expert on mental wellness. Of mental resiliency. Of creating balance in your life. Of thriving in your life and your relationships.
Whether you join me in my private practice, nourish yourself on a retreat, or are simply a part of this page and community, I look forward to connecting!!
