Recently I was talking with my client Aurora Cohodes. She gave me some wonderful feedback on the results of a treatment she had with me. Aurora, like several of my clients, is an equestrian rider. She rides regularly and is always striving to increase her connection with her horse; seeking to find that feeling of being able to stand up in her stirrups, letting her engaged legs do the work. She explained to me, with much appreciation, how after her massage, she was able to feel a lengthening all the way through her legs and down into her heels. "Once I have that feeling in my body, even if it is just once, I can always go back to it. I know now what I am looking for." This is a great example of the results of the Feldenkrais Method, (which I fuse with my massage therapy), in action.
