Alumni Sean Cordova celebrates 2 Years Sober!

Sean,
I’ve witnessed many residents come and go through the houses; but watching you get 2 years hits me a little differently. I don’t know what it is but it’s kind of like watching my annoying, little brother finally grow up into a responsible man. You have made some mistakes along the way but never once have you let those define you or slow you down. Anytime I’ve needed something, from moving into my new house, to asking you to give someone a ride to a meeting; you have always said “OK” and showed up. You are a man of your word today and someone that doesn’t latch onto what is deemed “popular”. You just do the right thing, have fun and you work your ass off.
You enjoy your new life to the fullest and you always find a way to make me and everyone around you laugh. I have met some of your family and I know they are even more proud of you than I am. I’m glad I got to watch you grow up.

Greg, I’ve known you since elementary school and I remember speaking with you when you were in the hospital just over 2 years ago. I never heard you like that…You sounded defeated and lost; but you said you were willing to do anything to turn your life around. And you weren’t lying.

Since that call I’ve seen you take action, get honest, live healthier, work the steps and better yourself to better the lives of others. Ive seen your family rally around you with support and I’ve seen you become a version of yourself that I don’t think you ever thought was possible. Beyond happy for the life you have today. Love you. Keep inspiring!

9/26/21 =11 years sober!

11 years of:
-facing my fears, hardships, losses and mistakes head-on.
•
-having many peoples doubts turn into support & belief.
•
-being grateful for my family welcoming me back into their lives, supporting me & motivating me.
•
✨But most of all, 11 years of Never forgetting those who have helped, guided and pushed me along the way. I Did Not do this on my own. I asked for help and received it in a variety of ways from Family, friends, the 12 steps, sponsors, mentors and so many more.
•
I went through active addiction struggling a long time thinking I was alone and that sobriety wasn’t an option. But because of 2 people (Eric W & Paul P) I gave sobriety a chance and I haven’t felt or thought I was alone since.
I am where I am today because of so many. THANK YOU

Sarah, you came in with a past full of pain and consequences but you treated every day like it was a new beginning; full of gratitude and always with a smile on your face. You showed so many that our pasts don’t define us and and that we are able to achieve great things in sobriety.

2 years sober and look at all that has happened! You’re a present and loving mother, you have your own place and you are still helping anyone and everyone that is looking for a new way of life.
Thank you for all you have done for the women in recovery, the houses and most of all for yourself.
