It’s so important to know who is working on your face and doing cosmetic procedures for you.
My path to becoming a board certified dermatologist started after graduating from Beverly Hills High School at the age of 16 and starting undergrad at UCLA as a neuroscience major. While I always knew I wanted to go to Medical School, I initially wanted to become a neurosurgeon. After taking the MCAT and receiving my BS degree, I was accepted into the UCLA School of Medicine in 1996, where my interest in Dermatology began. Following UCLA Med and 3 board examinations for licensure as a physician in the state of California, I completed an initial year of training in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center followed by 3 additional years of training in Dermatology at King/Harbor UCLA Medical Centers where I was chief resident. During that time I took 3 years of resident board exams for Dermatology and finally after my chief resident year I passed the American Board of Dermatology exam.
And if that wasn’t enough, I then decided to do an additional year of advanced fellowship training in Mohs Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Thank you to all my professors and teachers who helped me become who I am today! And thank you to for the inspiration to post and for his leadership and friendship!

Lipomas are common benign (non-cancerous) growths that can occur anywhere on the body. They are hereditary, sometimes can hurt, and therefore they are easily removed under local anesthesia in the office while the patient is awake.

I am so excited to announce that our offices will be reopening on Monday 5/18/2020. We will be preparing the office with frequent sanitation and limitations to numbers of people allowed at one time in the office. We will ask that you please arrive on time so we can immediately take you to an exam room. We will continue to social distance and take your temperature prior to your being seen. Please wear a mask in the office and don’t bring anyone with you unless absolutely necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we resume patient care at the highest level of care with everyone’s safety in mind.
