Happy Birthday to one of the greatest humans - Kim Osborne!
Kim and I met in August 2007 when we were placed on the same team in Blue Valley. We worked alongside for five years before I left the school district to start Bringing Therapy Home.
When I left, I knew I wanted Kim to join me. I simply could not imagine working without her by my side. This year, Kim will celebrate 10 years on the BTH team.
Resilient, hard-working, persistent, emphatic, passionate, determined, and helpful - that's Kim.
If you know Kim Osborne, you know what it means to be loved well.
She has big expectations for every kid and, with those expectations, kids often rise to the occasion. She can get kids to do things that are often a first for them. Her belief in others is unwavering and her loyalty runs deep.
Kim has been working as an occupational therapist for nearly 45 years and she continues to evolve and develop professionally and personally. She is continually learning, reflecting, and evolving.
Everyone knows and loves Kim - it doesn't matter if you are traveling to the west coast, east coast, or around the world. If you tell someone you live in Overland Park, Kansas, it is probable you will hear, "Do you know Kim Osborne?"
Kim has learned the balance of working hard and taking time to maintain relationships in her life. She is the first one there if you need someone and often the last one to leave. She thinks of others and goes above and beyond in every situation.
Kim, thank you for showing all of us how to evolve on a continual basis, for believing in the possibilities of every child, and for showing up in the way you do.
The world is a better place because of the impact you are having.
Happy Birthday!
