2. The Procedure- You’ll lie down on a comfortable table, which will slide you into the MRI machine. It can be a bit noisy, but headphones and earplugs are provided to help.
3. Aftercare- There’s usually no downtime. You can resume your normal activities right after the scan, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
⏰ Timing and Results
MRIs typically take between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being studied. Afterward, a radiologist analyzes the results and sends a report to your healthcare provider, which is typically completed within 24 hours. Then your provider with discuss the findings with you.
