Want your practice to be the top-listed Clinic?
Try2LiveWell is based upon this premise. To achieve real, lasting, powerful results—to completely transform the quality of your life, now and forever—we must adopt new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. We need to listen to new voices; we must ask new questions; we must put ourselves into new states of thinking and feeling! We must take new actions, to get new results, and thereby gain new perspectives.
We must move. Our bodies were meant to move and then move some more. We must eat nourishing, real food that replenishes and strengthens our bodies to move again the next day and also to help protect us from disease and sickness. And we must rest, mind and body, to restore our spirit, energy, and mentality. The single best thing you can do for yourself is to take care of your health...mind and body.
My name is Susanne and I am happy you are here! My wellness journey started many, many years ago... as a child. I didn’t realize this until more recently but the health issues that my family dealt with made such an impression that I truly feel it helped shape my decisions about my own health. I grew up witnessing my grandmother self-administer insulin. And I questioned my mom about why she always had to give herself a shot. Diabetes was explained to me (as well as a 6 year old could understand) but my takeaway was the shot. I am a pretty tough chick but I HATE needles (shots) and I really feel this fear helped shape my attitude and actions around how to be healthy and NOT develop this disease. As I grew up I watched family member after family member be diagnosed with Type II and struggle daily. The common thread always seemed to come back to diet and exercise. So I made a personal decision to try and eat healthy foods and move regularly.
Today, I am a certified personal trainer with specialties in strength & conditioning. I chose to adopt a healthy, fitness inspired lifestyle over 30 years ago and am as passionate today as I was then. I have been a competitive runner and triathlete, bodybuilder, raised 3 children as a single mom, and now am fortunate to share my fitness journey (running, hiking, cycling, weight training, kayaking, skiing and more!) with my fiancé. You can often find us running with our dog and frequently enjoying the NC mountains.
