Tropical Storm Debby is expected to impact the Florence and P*e Dee area this week. The Counseling Center of Florence will remain open as weather conditions permit. We will be making the decision about whether to remain open on a daily basis based on the most recent weather forecast. Although we will make every effort to contact patients whose appointments may have to rescheduled, we recommend that, if you have a scheduled appointment on Wednesday or Thursday, you call our office ahead of time to confirm at 843-673-0054. In some cases, telehealth may be available.

Warning labels for social media platforms?
Considering the emotional, developmental, and psychological harm caused by social media to children and adolescents, labels may help parents finally understand and stop children's access to it.

In an opinion piece in the The New York Times, Dr. Vivek Murthy said that social media is a contributing factor in the mental health crisis among young people.
