Join me and for this playful workshop: “Disarming Your Stress Tripwire” July 13th!!!

As a somatic and trauma-informed bodyworker, I help people better understand how pause, pace, and pain patterns affect the relationship between stress and your body.

Life’s emergencies can force our nervous system into “whatever it takes” mode - like hot-wiring a car to escape a dangerous situation. If this mode gets stuck as our everyday state, we often experience chronic illness and pain.

This workshop is about disarming our emergency response to restore our natural body-mind connection so that we’re not on a hair-trigger any more.

We will explore the somatic techniques of
✨ practical pausing,
✨ micro-movement, and
✨felt-sense focusing
to reconnect our mind and our body’s wisdom, and repattern away from emergency responses.

Can’t wait to see you there!

✨To register, see link in bio!✨

**This is a Trauma Informed, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC-safe space.

Who’s ready for this eclipse?! Whether you believe in astrological events having larger meaning in your life or not, the power of setting intensions trains your conscious mind to attune to the essence you want to embody. Taking a moment to pause and find choice in how you want to move forward today, this week, this year can start with taking a moment to call that in. And centering these intensions around events like the new moon can be a grounding way to signal to your mind, heart, and spirit that this is special—it’s significant and powerful that you are making this choice to invite more resources into your life!

You may be wanting to call in more joy, more peace, more hope, more rest, more financial support…

What are you inviting into your life today?

“As we learn to become more relational, we can start by saying things out loud to our plants!” - Sara Tacy Tangredi
I love this quote by where she talks about the process of building up our window of capacity for stress through identifying what resources we have and slowly acquiring more of the resources we need. Plants can be a resource of comfort! Who else talks to (and maybe sings to 😳🫢🫣😛) their plant friends?
If it feels silly to admit aloud, just know that silliness can be a resource too! 🥰

Change can feel scary…reorganizing our tissue can be uncomfortable…to shift, to let go and allow yourself to adjust can feel terrifying. But staying in patterns that no longer serve us in the present moment, often requires more energy than shifting, in the long run. Our bio bodies, our cells, our tissues are designed to release and restructure repeatedly throughout our lives to help us adapt through different seasons and environments. Tuning into the body’s wisdom, rather than fighting it, can help us access resources such as choice, hopefulness, and patience, to get through the day. This helps us build resilience after experiencing extended periods of stress.

✨Book a discovery call today to learn how you can access more resources within your body to build more resilience and better navigate stress. ✨

May my love continue
May my love grow
May I be present to the love in my life
May I appreciate the love in my life

May I be love.

Taking pauses can sometimes feel like a luxury we can’t afford, but it’s in pause that we can really tap Into more choice!
If you are able, give yourself the gift of pause today, and see what’s there in the space you create, in this moment.

What I’m consuming these days (that isn’t a book or podcast on running a business, nervous system regulation, or somatic practices):
“The Chosen and the Beautiful” by Nghi Vo — a retelling of the Gatsby story from the perspective of an Asian-American q***r perspective. Just started it, but you can book an appointment to hear the updates. 😉

So many of us, tender hearted, loving others and holding our own bodies in the winter’s dark stillness— it’s an invitation to take in, receive or just settle into that stillness. Gather the warmth available. Hold this close to you and hum or breathe together. It’s both hard and simple to connect, both with ourselves and others. We begin here: let, allow, receive just a little bit of the pleasant or passive good to rest beside you, and slowly take it in. Absorb it. Breathe life into it. And it will expand with time.
Much love to the weary, grieving, and overwhelmed this season. Know that we are holding light for each of you. 💜✨

I’m very excited to be presenting at the iaedp Greater Philadelphia eating disorder networking lunch for care givers November 3rd!

I will be sharing about my work in trauma informed bodywork, alongside several other amazing alternative care providers in the area. I will be offering some somatic practices that can help to recenter your nervous system and refocus on choice, when our survival mode kicks in, often telling us we don’t have any choice.

This is an event for care givers, practitioners, facilitators of healing spaces, therapists, physicians who want to be in a held space and learn how to tune into yourself to better support those you care for.

Follow and click the link in their bio to RSVP!

Sometimes when you reach out to a friend to request a play day (voice your own need), it turns out to be their berfday 🙃🤪 and they invite you into the woods on witchy adventures to celebrate (their needs met!)

I have not always felt confident reaching out to friends, cultivating intimate and vulnerable connections, and especially not building community! 😬 these things were scary because I might get hurt or worse rejected and feel that I’m not good enough or deserving of love and connection. It’s of course a life long process to nurture our wounds, but it has happened over time. Giving myself time to be nervous or uncomfortable has been an important part of my journey. Accepting when I feel fragile, vulnerable or too exposed in a given moment has taught me a lot about the importance of slowing down and not rushing myself into connection before I have given to myself first.

The journey sometimes feels messy, scary, overwhelming, even painful, but with the right resourcing and support, I promise you, there are more and more moments like the pictures above display. So much joy, appreciation and love for this human and many of the other humans in my life now. Thank you for holding this tender little heart and sharing yours with me. 🥰

For anyone curious about somatic practices that can help you navigate connection with yourself and others, reach out! I would love to chat!

Seek care FROM those who seek care FOR themselves!! As a bodyworker, it has taken me a long time to find fellow practitioners who’s practices, philosophies and energies resonate with my own. It has taken even longer to set up systems that ensure that I receive the care I need to keep my body supported. Sometimes it has felt like i came to certain places of understanding and integration late in life, but my timing and journey have been perfect.

So is yours! Find those persons and practitioners who will come along side you in your journey and support you with compassion, patience and deep listening. We can then safely and gently let go of shame, exhaustion and distrust.

So grateful for these beautiful beings who in their journeys have given love, energy and support to keep me going. 💜
