Before you hit the first tee or driving range, don’t skip your muscle activation warm-up! ⛳️🔥 These moves help wake up golf-specific muscles, improve balance and stability, and get your body ready to swing with power — all while lowering your risk of injury.
The Wake Orthopaedics team recommends performing 2 sets of 10 reps of each:
✔️ Side Lunge to Balance – step into a side lunge, push off, then balance on one leg.
✔️ Resisted Backswing/Follow Through – get in golf posture, practice your swing against band resistance.
✔️ Banded Rotations – in a stance, rotate your torso away from the band, then slowly return.
✔️ Split Stance Chop – with one foot forward, pull a band down and across your body.
✔️ Dynamic Row with Hip Rotation – row with one arm while shifting weight and rotating hips.
And don’t forget — the SAS Championship is happening at Prestonwood Country Club on October 6–12! Learn more + get your tickets at 🔗 https://saschampionship.com
