The number one fear people have is public speaking....even more than death! If you are one of those folks I have you covered.

I'm teaching this super cool workshop for the and I'm honored to be able to share confidence building tools from the inside out.

From performing on stage as a dancer, singer and actor, to speaking on stages across the country and internationally, to performing standup comedy; I had to overcome my own fears and imposter syndrome to get up and do it scared sometimes. My mindfulness skills are a huge factor in how I find success and more comfort and I'm excited to marry those stage performance techniques and mindfulness in this robust offering.

This engaging four-hour workshop is designed for actors, speakers, comedians, and anyone looking to shine confidently on stage. Through this unique blend of mindfulness techniques and essential stage skills, you will learn how to overcome performance anxiety, develop a commanding presence, and break unhelpful habits that hinder your potential. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a newcomer, this workshop offers tools to optimize your on-stage performance and connect deeply with your audience.

The Armed Services Arts Partnership Comedy Bootcamp Graduation show is tonight and I'm hosting!

I can't say enough about ASAP and all of the programs they offer, but the comedy bootcamp has a special place in my heart. It's not only a very good program for beginners wanting to learn standup comedy, but it's a personal exploration and a way to find meaning and joy in life. Plus, you make some really cool new friends.

Kind of yogic, really. Meaning....joy...community.

I started with ASAP as a student, then mentor, then assistant teacher, and teacher with ASAP programs (and I have a lifetime of teaching experience for dance, theatre, and yoga).

I am co-leading a New Jokes Workshop May 4th and have a Confidence and Connection on Stage workshop coming up in July. Their programs are free for military and military affiliated people and they support their teachers very well. Visit asapasap.org to sign up.

So if you can make it out to Mic Drop Comedy Club tonight I would love for you to say HI! If you have any questions about program send me a dm.

I will put a ticket link in the comments. Hope to see you there!

I just had the privilege of getting to spend time with the amazing Rena Wren and Laura Danley, who live too far away and I don’t get to see enough.

There’s nothing quite like spending time with good friends you haven’t seen in a while—the kind who just get you. Friends who, no matter how much time has passed, make it feel like no time has passed at all.

Laughter, deep conversations, and simply being together hanging out has felt so therapeutic for me.

And guess what, it’s not just a feeling. Science backs this up! Strong social connections are linked to lower stress, improved heart health, and even a longer lifespan. When we feel seen and supported, our bodies respond—oxytocin (the “bonding hormone”) increases, cortisol (the stress hormone) decreases, and our nervous system shifts into a state of calm and connection…and boy did I need it!

I’m so grateful for these women who show up, listen, laughed at my comedy in the freezing cold, and remind me who I am. Your support is everything.

Here’s to making time for the people who lift us up.

💛 Tag a friend you’re grateful for! ⬇️✨

🌿 Happy Yoga Awareness Month from Your Favorite Yoga Therapist!

As a yoga therapist, I’m here to remind you that yoga isn’t about how far you can twist or how long you can balance on one foot (but of course I might ask you to try it). It’s about finding the right balance between breath, movement, and letting go of the judgement of the chatter in your head.

So whether you're a seasoned practitioner who can meditate through a hurricane or a newbie who’s still figuring out what “Ujjayi breath” even means (spoiler: it’s not a secret martial arts move), let's use this month to explore the deeper, healing side of yoga.

Because yoga therapy isn’t about mastering fancy poses; it’s about understanding yourself.

So, let’s celebrate! Take a deep breath, roll out that mat, and embrace yoga for what it truly is: a wonderful, sometimes wobbly, often enlightening, and always human practice of coming back to yourself — one mindful breath at a time. 🙏

Happy Yoga Awareness Month, everyone! May your downward dogs be graceful, and your warrior poses be fierce (or, you know, just upright). 🌞

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

This past weekend and I presented at the International Association of Yoga Therapists conference ( ). Our topic was The Importance of Collaboration: An Exploration Through the Yamas and Niyamas.

We shared facts, research, our personal experiences and challenges of collaborating, and activities where they explored different scenarios and how you would apply yamas and niyamas. For the final "project" they collaborated to construct a cadralor. See my previous post for slides of what they created. It was truly beautiful.

We got a lot of great feedback but I was especially touched by a man who stated that he practices the yamas and niyamas but had never thought about applying them in a business sense regarding collaborations. He stated having resisted partnering because of fear that it might go badly, but now has the confidence to move forward in a different way.

I'm honored to have been able to share with esteemed colleagues and people I respect so much, and I'm touched by their beautiful words.

And I'm full with gratitude for the partnership Patience and I have cultivated. I learn from her every time we speak and my life has been eternally enriched by her presence in my life.

I'm still on a high from the sold-out, fully packed Major Malfunction show at Mic Drop last night.

Thanks to Cheryl Sonstein for having me on your show. The vibe was tremendous and I feel so lucky to have been included with so many funny ladies (and our great host, Mike McCalla).

Making people laugh brings me so much joy and is a big part of my healing journey.

I'm filled with so much gratitude to be able to do this and I don't take it for granted.

If there is something you are dreaming of doing, make the leap and do that damn thing.
