Happy Monday CannaFam!
A CCC Supported Measure, AB1420 has been ordered to the Suspense File Of Senate Appropriations by the Committee Chair Senator Anthony Portantino.
AB 1420 would place the cannabis application, licensing and renewal fees into statute as maximum not to be exceeded amounts, as they are for other fees within the
Department of Consumer Affairs. This will establish the same level of legislative accountability for cannabis licensing authorities as exists for nearly all other DCA licensing bodies.
Despite the receiving full Consent from the Legislature, the Bill has now received opposition from the Department Of Consumer Affairs in addition to the Department Of Food and Agriculture despite outstanding consent from the Legislature.
We are sending this email for our fellow associations and operators for which this issues directly impacts you. The California Cannabis Coalition NEEDS your support to show the Legislature that this issue matters to our Industry and Community.
Together we can do anything and thus far the Coalition has pushed this far through the committee process; please sign on to the Letter of Support for the Coalition Supported Measure AB1420 to move the Measure to the Assembly Floor before August Recess and another step closer to the Governor's Desk.
