A letter to our patients:

We want to thank all of our polite, patient, patients for collaborating with us as we have made adjustments to schedules, locations, and requirements for visits with our awesome doctors. We know the restrictions can seem a nuisance but they are done to make people feel and BE safe.

We continue to NOT ALLOW support persons--except in a few rare visit types. And do not bring children with you to your appointment. Of course, if the patient being seen is a minor her parent or guardian may accompany her.

As a community, collective efforts are demonstrating effectiveness, but it's too early to let up our proverbial guard. We love our patients and look forward to excellent healthcare encounters with you in the future.

“The ‘Hogben test’ was simple. Collect a woman’s urine and inject it, fresh and untreated, under the skin of a female Xenopus. Then, wait. If the woman is pregnant, between five and 12 hours later, the frog will produce a cluster of millimeter-sized, black-and-white spheres. The results were reliable.”

In the 1950s, if a woman wanted to know if she was pregnant, she needed to get her urine injected into a frog.
