I emerged from my Saturn Return bruised and battered, but stronger, and more determined than ever to carve my own way through the chaos. In the midst of a political and social climate that leaves many of us exhausted, I’m seeking ways to help myself and my community thrive when the odds are against us. My deep belief is that health is our resistance and of paramount importance in order for us to b
lossom, flourish, and shape the new paradigm. As such, my offerings are moving from solely yoga into the additional realms of herbalism, sustainable and affordable events and retreats, and holistic business consulting. Love in the Dream is an all encompassing identifier for these offerings of movement, medicine + magic, borrowed from the lyrical depth of Robert Hunter and the Grateful Dead’s “Help on the Way/Slipknot!”. Always having been drawn to lyricism, this line has stood out in my mind for years as a an inspiration — a point of undeniable truth and importance. It stands as a rally cry to dream big and to always infuse those dreams with deep love and unending compassion. This new journey has required me learning the many merits of a truly open heart. It has required deep lessons of vulnerability, of openness, and of the effort required to keep a heart pure and continuously unbarred despite the many hurts it may face. The process has demanded deep practice and belief in the power of dreaming. It has required a steadfast believe in daring to create wild intentions and setting them at the forefront of my awareness, nurturing them with every step along the way. Moving forward, Katy Joe Yoga will slowly transition into Love in the Dream to encompass not only yoga, but herbalism, consulting and more. In the coming weeks, keep your eyes open for workshops, classes, herbal offerings, and more under this new rebrand. Thank you for sticking with me to this point and for your interest in my past, present and future endeavors. I love you more than words can tell.
