“If it drains you it’s not your path, it’s your pattern.”

How often do we find ourselves stuck in the same daily patterns, thinking we’re making progress but really just circling back to the same place?

I feel this all the time. In my posture at the desk, the way I hunch over my phone, or when I’m gripping the wheel during a long drive. I notice it in the tension that builds in my low back after sitting too long or doing yard work.

But awareness is powerful 💪🏻

When I start to notice these patterns, I give myself the opportunity to shift them, even in small ways.

Maybe that’s a stretch after standing up from the desk, a breath before diving into the next task, or a moment to soften my shoulders.

These small changes in our patterns can lead us toward a more supportive path, one that honors and cares for our bodies.

As a massage therapist, I love helping people reconnect to their bodies in this way, noticing what’s draining, what’s tight, what’s stuck, and gently supporting the shift. You don’t have to do it alone. 💛

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’d like to share some of the small, grounding practices that help support my mental health. When life feels chaotic or overwhelming, I try to come back to myself gently, without pressure. These are a few simple practices that help me feel grounded and present, even on the busiest days.

Whether it’s stepping outside for a few breaths, noticing the way my feet feel in the grass, or doing a quick body scan to check in, these little moments make a big difference.

You don’t need a full hour or a perfect setting just a moment to pause, notice, and reconnect. I hope one of these practices meets you where you are and offers a bit of calm today.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

As someone who lives with anxiety, depression, and cptsd, who also works in a healing profession I know how important it is to talk about mental health with honesty and compassion.

In this post, I’m sharing:

I’m very excited to share that I will be relocating Serene Hands Bodywork to CenterPeace Healing and Events. They are a beautiful wellness center filled with so many amazing wellness practitioners.

Not only will I be able to continue offering my massage services I will also be able to start teaching yoga towards the end of summer in their gorgeous yoga room!

I have lots of ideas and goals for my practice and I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of each and every one of you.

Thanks to your incredible feedback from my recent survey, I’m adding more availability to better support your schedules! Starting January 5th, I’ll be offering sessions on the first Sunday of every month and two Friday mornings from 10am - 1pm (dates will vary). Plus, I’m returning to my regular Saturday hours of 10am - 4:30pm.

Exciting news! 🎉 I will be starting yoga teacher training this September through December! This is a wonderful opportunity for me to deepen my practice and bring even more wellness into our sessions. Yoga has been a transformative journey for me, enhancing my physical and mental well-being, and I can’t wait to share these benefits with you all.

Starting Tuesday, September 3rd:
✨ Tuesday hours will change to 10:30am - 4:30pm
✨ Thursday hours will remain 1pm - 8pm

Starting Saturday, September 14th:
✨ Week 1: Two morning appointments from 9am-12pm
✨ Week 2: Two afternoon appointments from 5:30pm-8:30pm
