Cabbage is having its moment as vegetable of the year for 2026 and our Therapeutic Community Garden is right on trend. 🥬 This month’s harvest is a beauty, and it comes with some fascinating cabbage wisdom:

- It’s part of the same family as broccoli, kale, and cauliflower.
- Naturally rich in vitamin C and fiber, it’s a powerhouse for wellness.
- Those tightly layered leaves act like built‑in armor as the plant grows.
- Cooler weather transforms starches into natural sugars, making cabbage sweeter.
- If allowed to flower, cabbage attracts pollinators like bees and supports a thriving garden ecosystem.

If you’re curious about what’s growing here and want to get your hands in the soil, we offer free community groups for children, adults, and older adults. Grow alongside others and experience the therapeutic benefits of gardening! To learn more or register, contact our team at (909) 623‑6131 and ask for a Therapeutic Community Garden team member.

📣MHSA is now BHSA. Big changes are coming to California’s behavioral health system, and community voices are essential in shaping local services now and into the future.

California is transitioning from the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) to the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), shifting how the state invests in mental health and substance use services. The BHSA prioritizes care for individuals with the most significant behavioral health needs, expands substance use treatment, and strengthens housing interventions.

Tri‑City Mental Health Authority invites community residents, providers, advocates, and partners to join our upcoming Community Forums. Learn about the transition to the BHSA, which goes into effect on July 1, 2026, and hear how Proposition 1 will impact local behavioral health services. These meetings are open to the public, and interpretation services will be available. The same information will be shared at each meeting, so please attend whichever works best for your schedule.

📆 Option 2
