Aromatic garlic, fragrant basil, and tomatoes so bright they practically glow — all harvested by hand from our Therapeutic Community Garden. Just add olive oil, salt, and pepper, and you’ve got a delicious way to enjoy the season’s bounty 🍅🧄🌱

Each week, our garden groups come together to tend, harvest, and share in the joy of growing food. This week’s harvest turned into a delicious, easy bruschetta — a perfect way to savor the season’s flavors.

Whether you’re growing at home or joining us in the garden, we hope this inspires you to enjoy your own fresh-picked ingredients.

It was an honor to take part in the 2025 Annual Summit for Community Leaders, hosted by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and Claremont Lincoln University in Denver, Colorado.

Our Deputy Chief Clinical Officer, Deborah Johnson, served as moderator for the panel, "Rethinking Policing: Building Mental Health Centered Approaches." Joined by Chief Rachel Johnson (Manhattan Beach), John Perez (former Pasadena Chief of Police), and Chief Ron Thomas (Denver), their conversation explored how public safety and law enforcement can better support mental health, build trust with the community and create safer spaces for both officers and the communities they serve.

Grateful to all who continue to engage in this work with openness, urgency, and care. 💙

In our Therapeutic Community Garden, even the tiniest peppers pack a powerful punch! This past summer, our amazing garden participants harvested hot varieties — each one full of flavor, heat, and meaning.

💥Pequin – Don’t let the size fool you! These tiny firecrackers are 10x hotter than jalapeños. A perfect reminder that small things can make a big impact.

🔥 Serrano – A garden favorite. Spicy, yet balanced — just like the path to wellness.

🌶️ Thai Chili – Slender, vibrant, and fiery. These peppers bring intensity and color to every dish, just as our garden brings growth to our community.

But these peppers are more than just food! They’re a symbol of healing, growth, and connection—nurtured by community hands committed to transformation.
