I LOVE SUNDAY MORNINGS! 🌅

A day to wake up, refocus, go to church (I know, Ma! 😁) , and set up a plan to get some wins for the week! I never forget what my high school science teacher used to say, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.“, And I love Sunday morning to think about just that. Why? Because you get to make what the future is
every second, every day!

The thing I like about the practice of stoicism is it teaches a very valuable principle: focus on what you can control. And in this case, your mindset, developing inter strength, and how you think (and react) to life’s challenges. I’m not always perfect on this front but compared to where I was in the past decade, I’ve made some good strides in this area. So I use Sunday to do just that-get my mind right, visualize, plan, remember God’s purpose for me (Thank you Pastor ), and be ready to take on the week!

Until next time

I’m about to make a shocking statement which seems to be different from what I’m reading online

If you voted for Trump = You’re my friend
If you voted for Kamala =
YOUR STILL MY FRIEND!!!

The United States of America is 248 years old , and since then, we’ve been through 45 different individuals that have been President. America has been through wars, two major attacks on American soil, and other big events-and we’ve survived! It’s okay to be upset or disappointed-I get it; but eventually we will need to move forward, go back to work, live our lives, and do the best we can for ourselves and our families.

I don’t care if you didn’t vote the same way I did. I still respect you as a person, and will treat you with dignity. If our disagreement of different views bothers so much that you still would rather not talk, ”need” to unfriend me, etc. then I respect that, love you still, and wish you all the best in life. I don’t have time for that kind of mindset and I promise you my life will move forward and so will yours. God Bless you and have a great day! 🙏

DID YOU KNOW?

Studies show that people younger than 65 years old who skip breakfast even a few times each week or 28% MORE LIKELY to acquire diabetes than those who ate it regularly? (MedicineNet.com)

Outside of having energy, good for brain function, and controlling insulin resistance, breakfast is a vital part of starting your day right! Here some of my favorite breakfast food choices to fuel my day and stay healthy:

1.) Egg Whites
2.) Turkey Bacon
3.) Protien Pancakes
4.) Smoothies
5.) Oatmeal (Fav before Leg workouts!)
6.) Protein shake

With your brain needing 260 calories just to get you going, we can’t ignore getting some good nourishment bright and early! 👍

FUEL YOUR HUSTLE! đŸ’Ș MEAL PREP ISN’T JUST ABOUT EATING HEALTHY! SAVE TIME WHILE STILL CRUSHING GOALS WITH THESE TIPS FOR ENTREPRENEURS:

1.) MAKE THAT GROCERY LIST!
- Ever rushed to the store and got an item, only to find out you bought it 3 times in the last 2 weeks? Just like you plan for your quarterly numbers, you gotta plan your shopping list. You know your staples, but if you want to add some new flavors, spices to spruce up your meals, make sure it’s on the list so you can make meals quick and not spend money that can be used elsewhere in the business!

2.) MAKE A LARGER BATCH OF FOOD.
- I’m a pasta or rice guy, so when I know I plan to up the complex carbs for a heavy leg day, I’m making a good-sized pot of those bad boys! Batching can make things so easy to “scoop and scat” out the door to that next meeting. With my busy schedule, I like to do about 3 days of batch prep, so make enough but not too much that it goes to waste..

3.) IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (Out of prep food and short on time between meetings) FIND THAT HEALTHY RESTAURANT OPTION.

30 minutes May seem long to most, but in a crunch of 5 clients in a few hours and the feed bag is bare at noon
man, we gotta find some healthy restaurant options! A few tips:

1.) Check online for restaurants that show special symbols and words on the menu that can help you stay on track (Whole-grain, light, steamed, etc)

2.) Choose lean meats, veggies not in oil (if possible), and grains such as brown rices that can keep you on your caloric plan.

3.) Can never go wrong with water or even some non or lightly sweetened drinks

Hope this is helpful and be sure to like, follow, and share for more tips!

Changing the Way you LIVE!!

Hello Future Success Story!!

My name is Rich Ford and I’m the Owner and Founder of Ford Fitness Personal Training. I want to personally welcome you to my Page..why? Because like you (over 12 years ago) I wanted to live a better life, a healthier life, and best of all...I wanted to encourage and motivate others to do the same! Congrats on making a decision to change! A little about me: I grew up in the Chicago Suburbs and played sports most of my life from basketball to street hockey with friends; and being active kid was part of my life. As I started to get into more organized sports, I started to read books on how I could improve my skills in sports, but also how I could be more fit to play better, too. (Imagine a 14 year old running up a steep hill almost daily because he found out it will make you run faster! LOL ) My love for lifting came a few years later when I started to read the monthly bodybuilding magazines and books-admiring the strength and physiques they had.

Fitness became a vital part to my life because it helped to give self-confidence to a skinny, quiet, and sometimes lonely-feeling kid. Not the one into what most of my college basketball teammates were into on friday nights, I found myself in the weight room alone, just lifting away using some of the tips I’d learned from those magazines and learning how to gain muscle. By the end of Summer of 2002, (and not knowing really what I was doing!) I gained several pounds of muscle and was feeling great about myself and my achievements. Once graduated, I went to work in my hometowns’ Rec Center where I met my mentor, Wanda Post who encouraged me to consider becoming a personal trainer.

I became certified in 2006 and is still considered one of the happiest days of my life. After several years working at commercial gyms (and the encouragement of family and clients) I started Ford Fitness Personal Training on April 13, 2013. My idea: To encourage people from all walks of live that they CAN change the way they live, that they too can have the fitness that they desire, and that I as their trainer would be there with them, “every REP of the way!” Since that start twelve years ago, I’ve helped hundreds of people from working and stay-at home moms, amateur athletes, to post-physical therapy patients and clients with special conditions learn how to improve every aspect of their fitness, give them confidence to keep going, and overall, as our mantra is...CHANGE THE WAY THEY LIVE!!
