Your Health Matters!
One of the most impactful parts of our Healthy Living Festival is the wide range of FREE health screenings offered by local professionals right here in our community!

Here’s a look back at what we accomplished together last year:

~Head, Neck & Dental Screenings: Over 20 screenings provided, with one ”suspicious" finding being flagged. Attendees also receivered referrals to dentists & physicians. At least 4 attendees shared they didn’t have a regular doctor or dentist until now!

~ Blood Pressure Screenings: Three Rivers Nursing Students provided over 50 blood pressure screenings and shared information how to perform self-exams for breast health.

~Pediatric & Adult Vision Checks: Lions Low Vision Center offered pediatric & adult vision checks, with many children and adults discovering they needed glasses. One “concerning finding” was also flagged for follow-up care.

~Vaccines: Norwich Pharmacy provided vaccinations, including 15 flu shots right at the event!

Education & Other Screenings: 45+ Hartford Healthcare nurses & 53 educators engaged with 535 attendees, provided 61 screenings (with 2 abnormal readings flagged), and even fitted 60 children with bike helmets for safety.

These screenings can be life-changing, and the best part? They’re FREE for all attendees!
